Russell St Medical Centre provides a flexible appointment system which has the ability to accommodate patients with urgent, non-urgent, complex, planned and chronic and preventative health care. A scheduled visit is required for practice appointments with the exception of Saturday mornings. To book an appointment you can phone the Practice number on 02 6331 2266, and a receptionist will assist you with an appointment, or visit www.rsmc.net.au and book an appointment online. Every effort is made to accommodate your preferred GP and time, please call and speak to a Receptionist if you need to book an appointment for a complex problem, insurance or pre-employment medical. If there is another family member to be seen please advise the Receptionist so she can also book them adequate time. The Practice has a policy that we will fit in a child on the day if a parent is concerned that the issue is serious. Please make sure that you clearly communicate concerns about young children to our Reception staff. Our Practitioners endeavour to keep to their scheduled appointment times. We apologise for this and suggest that you phone ahead of your appointment time and ask the Receptionist to check if your appointment will be on time. CANCELLING APPOINTMENTS
Please notify us if you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment. The Doctors request that you notify the Practice, at least one hour prior to your scheduled time, if you are unable to keep your appointment. This provides them with the opportunity to see other patients.

It’s DonateLife Week! Did you know that 4 in 5 Australians say they support organ and tissue donation but only 1 in 3 are registered?

In Australia, your family is always asked to agree to donation. They are much more likely to agree if they know you want to be a donor.

You could be the reason someone else gets a second chance at life.

It only takes one minute to register as an organ and tissue donor at donatelife.gov.au or through your Medicare account.

Then, tell your family you want to be a donor – someone's life depends on it.

No we didn't just forget to get dressed today, (although it's certainly made getting ready in the morning easier)
Today is National Pyjama Day! And we were MORE than happy to stay snuggly and cozy in our PJs in honour of this wonderful cause! National Pyjama Day was created by to support children living in foster care.
We wish every day could be this cozy!

As we enter 2025, NAIDOC Week marks a powerful milestone: 50 years of honoring and elevating Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience.
The 2025 theme, "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy," celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the legacy of our ancestors.

The NAIDOC journey began as a movement for recognition and rights, sparked by Indigenous communities who saw a future built on justice and equality. Over the decades, it has grown into a powerful national celebration, a testament to the enduring strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As we commemorate this 50-year legacy, we also look forward, honouring the next generation who will carry the torch, shaping the future with courage, insight, and deep respect for our roots. Guided by the wisdom of our Elders and the groundwork laid by our forebears, each NAIDOC Week reinforces our vision for an Australia where Indigenous voices are not only heard but lead the way.

The dates for NRW remain the same each year; 27 May to 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey – the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.

We all have a role to play when it comes to reconciliation, and in playing our part we collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.
