As we step into a new year, I’ve been reflecting on what 2025 has meant for O’Skin Medical.
We began the year as a fledgling practice, and in a relatively short time took significant strides within the Tasmanian healthcare landscape. What started with a clear vision has grown into a multidisciplinary clinic providing care across Women’s Health, Skin, Skin Cancer, Laser and Aesthetic Medicine.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the past year has been collaboration. Working alongside medical and allied health colleagues from across Tasmania - including the Department of Health and private specialists - has allowed us to improve outcomes for patients with traumatic, burn and surgical scarring, provide ongoing care for patients with skin cancers or those at high risk, and support individuals requiring laser and cosmetic treatments for medical conditions such as rosacea, perioral dermatitis, acne, melasma and pigmentation. We have also been privileged to support adults seeking aesthetic treatments through consultations that are considered, sensible and with subtle outcomes.
These treatments are not simple, and it takes decades of experience to truly understand both their benefits and their pitfalls. I am incredibly proud of my laser and aesthetics team, whose collective experience spans more than 40 years, and whose commitment to learning and best practice never stops.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited to continue building relationships and expanding collaboration. I warmly encourage any doctors or health practitioners across Tasmania to reach out if you would like to discuss ways we can work together to better support your patients.
Thank you to our patients, colleagues and team for trusting us and growing with us. I look forward to what the year ahead will bring.
