Mother’s Day can be beautiful for some… but for many, it also carries a quiet ache that others cannot always see.
Today is not easy for everyone.
Some are missing their mums in Heaven and would give anything for one more hug, one more phone call, one more “I love you.”
Some are grieving relationships that became distant, broken, complicated, or estranged… carrying the pain of a mother still living, yet emotionally out of reach.
Some are navigating silence where there should have been love. Some are mothers grieving children. Some are children grieving the mother they needed but never truly had.
So today, be gentle with people. Not every smile tells the full story.
If your mum is in Heaven, may you feel her love around you in the little signs, memories, songs, scents, and moments that still find their way back to your heart.
If you are estranged from your mum, may you know that protecting your peace does not make you unloving. Family relationships can hold deep grief too even when someone is still here physically.
And to my own beautiful Mum Denise David… Happy Mother’s Day
Thank you for all that you do, often in ways that go unseen. For your love, your support, your strength, and the countless sacrifices made along the way. No matter how old we become, a mother’s presence remains one of life’s greatest comforts. I am forever grateful for you today and always.
To my beautiful children and their partners… thank you for the love, the gifts, the extra children I’ve collected along the way, thank you for the messages, the laughter, and for becoming such an important part of the heart and fabric of our home. Watching our family grow in love and connection is one of life’s greatest blessings.
To my husband… thank you for being my support through every season of motherhood. The quiet strength, encouragement, patience, and love you give our family never goes unnoticed. I truly couldn’t do this journey without you beside me.
And to my Mother-in-law, wishing you a very Happy Mother’s Day and thanking you for the way you raised your son into the good man, loving husband, and devoted father he is today. Your love and guidance helped shape the foundation of the family we are so grateful to have.
Today reminds me that motherhood is not only about the children we raise, but also the people who stand beside us, support us, and become part of the family we build together. For all the love shared within our home and beyond it, my heart is truly grateful.
