Northeast Nurse Practitioner Services is taking appointments Monday to Friday 8am-6pm. Please call 0455420715.

Consultations are available in Beechworth Monday-Thursday in the afternoon and can occur at 16 Loch Street Beechworth or if you prefer, home visits are available. Telehealth can also occur if appropriate.

Appointments are also available at Yackandandah Pharmacy Wednesday mornings.

Friday afternoons are reserved for patients to telehealth with our General Physician/Geriatrician Dr Michael Murray.

We continue to have many enquires asking what services are available. Common questions include:
Can you write scripts? - Yes
I'm feeling unwell, can you assess and treat me? - Yes
Can you order pathology and x-ray? - Yes
I'm feeling sick, can you issue sick certificates? - Yes

Hello everyone! 👋

🩺 Northeast Nurse Practitioner Services is happy to announce additional services:

1) Weight Loss Management

Uses evidence-based weight management following Australian clinical guidelines incorporating:

• Medication
• Nutrition and meal planning
• Mental Health Support
• Goal setting
• Exercise and activity

This is a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to your weight loss and weight management.

2) Men’s Health/Sexual Health

This includes topics such as mental health, weight management, and those other things that men do not like to talk about.

Pre-existing services offered:

• Management of acute illness such as be infections, pain, dizziness, headache and gout etc.
• Chronic conditions including pain, airways disease and heart failure etc
• Sick certificates, prescription, pathology, x-ray, and specialist referral etc
• General services such as travel medicine, ear cleaning and injection administration etc
• Aged related issues including memory problems, depression, falls and chronic pain etc.

All services and prescriptions are MBS and PBS subsidized just like with your GP.

Fee’s also attract a rebate just like with your GP.

However we do not bulk bill as we do not receive the bulk billing incentive that GPs receive. If this should change in the future, bulk billing will be applied.

Northeast Nurse Practitioner Services is continuing to operate on a daily basis Monday to Friday.
A big thanks to members of the community who have utilised our service and put their trust in our service to manage their medical needs.
A common theme that we are still hearing is that many people are still not aware of the depth of services that a Nurse Practitioner can offer. We encourage people to view the FAQs on our website - www.northeastnursepractitioner.au

Our Nurse Practitioner will be taking a break from Friday 22nd August and returning Monday 1st September.
