On R U OK? Day today, I ask if you are OK?
If you are not, make sure you talk to someone and open up. If you are OK, please reach out to someone you know who is struggling in the current context of prolonged lock downs and isolation and life far from normal.

Think not only of individuals or personal friends and family but also of your business contacts as they are aching too. Business uncertainty, social isolation, fall in revenue, long working hours, lack of staffing support and work life imbalance are faced by many operators.

Reach me any time for a chat re dealing with these business challenges. As an entrepreneur and small business operator for over 20 years, I've gone through the mill and come out of it fairly unscathed!

People with disability and their families are gaining greater motivation and awareness, of the opportunities available for improving their abilities and lives for greater fulfilment. The current Paralympic games and media highlights of the prospects the Brisbane 2032 Paralympics poses, is contributing to this shift greatly.

The increased demand for disability support services is seeing a rise in new providers entering the National Disability Insurance Scheme and I've had several requests to set up new businesses in disability services.

Just helped a friend to resolve an overcharge for accommodation. Why do disability and aged care service providers misuse the trust placed on them, especially by vulnerable people? In fact, a greater duty of care, conscientiousness and responsibility should be shown.

Began the new financial year rejuvenated after a two-week break in sunny Gold Coast, Qld. Got in and out, just beating the lockdown in NSW. Phew!! The highlights were an adrenaline rush jet boat ride in the scenic Broadwater, with 360 degree manoeuvres and feeding the rainbow lorikeets at Currumbin National Park.

Now looking forward to assist my clients with all the challenges and opportunities that COVID is creating for NDIS providers.
