👉 Important Tip – It’s a common misconception that feeling anxious means you’re not making progress. However, when you actively choose to face a feared situation standing between you and your goals, you’re moving in the right direction, so give yourself credit for that effort.

Remember, it’s perfectly okay to take breaks and recharge along the way. Confronting fear is exhausting because your body is hard at work generating a stress response. Allow yourself time in your comfort zone to recover, but ensure your exposure to these fears remains consistent and regular to achieve meaningful results.

For those experiencing severe or persistent anxiety, mental health challenges, or unsafe coping strategies, it’s essential to seek professional guidance before beginning this process.

The boiling frog metaphor is often used to describe how people can become accustomed to gradual changes, even if they are negative or harmful. It is said that if a frog is placed in boiling water, it will immediately jump out and save itself. However, if the frog is placed in cold water and the temperature is slowly raised, the frog will not realise the danger and stay in the water until it boils to death.

This metaphor can be applied to various aspects of our lives, such as relationships, work environments, and societal norms. We may not notice small changes at first, but over time they can have a significant impact on our well-being.
