ROSALINA OIL, a fantastic remedy for the whole family.
It is one of my favourite Australian native oils.
I love its gentle floral note, much more pleasant than tea tree.
It is a great oil to have in your first aid kit.

Peppermint oil, perfect oil for Monday morning 🙂
It gives you an instant uplift, helping with mental fatigue and exhaustion.
It may be used to combat headaches, colds, bronchitis and blocked nose. Also recommended as treatment of travel sickness.
It may assist you with hangover symptoms.
Peppermint is well known as a digestive aid; put a drop of the oil on your tummy or feet).
You can also use it in muscular tension relief blends.

If you find peppermint too strong try Spearmint oil instead.

You can use it in steam inhalation, diffusers, oil burners, in a bath or simply on a tissue.

Winter is the season for harvesting citrus fruit. Let us have a closer look at some citrus essential oils, as they play a vital role in aromatherapy.

Starting with SWEET ORANGE essential oil, which we often call - the happy Oil. Its attributes include - positivity and joyfulness, plus it is refreshing and emotionally uplifting, which is ideal for when we take life too seriously and forget to laugh (quite easy during the colder months of winter).
Sweet Orange oil has a sedative and antidepressant effect on the nervous system. Therefore it is beneficial for insomnia, anxiety and general stress, as we call it.
It is also known to settle the digestive system. You can dilute it in a vegetable oil of your choice and apply directly on the stomach or bottom of your feet when troubled with constipation, diarrhoea or flatulence.
As it stimulates lymph flow, it makes it useful in the treatment of cellulite and swollen tissue too.
I think lots of us would benefit from using this oil.
I use orange essential oil in quite a number of products.
One of my favourites is the ORANGE BLOSSOM luxurious body/massage oil, which brings the whole orange tree together; blending orange (fruit), neroli (orange blossom) and petitgrain (the orange twigs and leaves). What a beautiful combination it is.

If you need more fun in your life, try to use MANDARIN essential oil.
It is calming and emotionally uplifting. It helps us to get in touch with our inner child, encouraging us to be playful and happy. It brings cheerfulness, warmth and a positive outlook. Who doesn't need it in our busy lives?

LEMON essential oil is refreshing, uplifting and cleansing. Lemon oil gives us a positive approach in life, helping boosting confidence and alleviating fear.
It has so many benefits and at this time of the year it's good to keep it on hand for its antiviral, antibacterial and immune stimulating properties. Lemon oil is an important remedy for treating and preventing colds and flu.

LIME also has a refreshing and uplifting nature. Lime enhances the zest for life. This oil takes you ‘on a holiday’, to the place where life is sweet and easy, away from the routine of the day to day grind. It is definitely a mood enhancer.

GRAPEFRUIT ESSENTIAL OIL is cleansing and detoxifying.
It is uplifting and reviving to the nervous system. It is well suited for people that need a boost in life, especially for those who are feeling depressed and lethargic.
Energetically it is also beneficial for people who are tense and tend to 'comfort eat’, especially when under stress. Grapefruit oil stimulates self-esteem, creating self-worth.
On the physical level, grapefruit oil has a detoxifying effect on the lymphatic system and is recommended for cellulitis and fluid retention.

Fill your house with uplifting and the cheerful aroma of citrus essential oils. You can try them in your diffuser, mix them in a vegetable oil and use as a body oil, add them to your cleaning products, or simply sniff straight from the bottle.
If however, essential oils are not your thing, you may still enjoy the fragrance by squeezing the peel of the fresh fruit.

LAVENDER, the mother of all essential oils!
Lavender is considered the most versatile of all essential oils. It is a number one oil to have in an essential oil kit.

There are lots of different kinds of lavender but the most superior of all is Lavendula angustifolia, also known as True Lavender.

Its antiseptic properties make it ideal for treating coughs, colds and flu, as well as in the treatment of wounds, burns, ulcers and cystitis.
It can be used in skin care for all skin types, as it is known to have soothing, healing and balancing effect on the skin.

Lavender’s nervine-sedative properties make it useful for depression, insomnia, migraines and nervous tension.

As an analgesic it is very good for headaches, menstrual pain, muscular pain and rheumatism. It is also known to assist with lowering blood pressure.

Lavender can be used in a variety of ways including in creams, baths, massage oils, roll ons, diffusers, oil burners, sprays, on a pillow or tissue plus steam inhalations.

I am back from Poland, where my roots come from. My batteries were fully charged, yet jet lag put a spin on them. 🤪 However, don't worry I managed to process couple orders yesterday and I'm pretty confident I can deal with more orders now. Our Story

Ela Bayliss, the owner of Ela’s Oils is a certified Aromatherapist who worked in private, clinical and corporate environments since 2002. Ela holds Diploma of Aromatherapy, Diploma of Integrated Body Therapies, Diploma of Remedial Massage, Diploma of Shiatsu as well as a vast range of certificates in different healing modalities (crystal healing, reiki, intuitive aromatherapy, shell essences, pregnancy for therapists, thai massage and so on).
