🌈 HARMONY DAY 2026 – STARSTRUCK DISCOVERIES 🎤✨

On Saturday, our Swan Hill & Bendigo crews took to the stage at Harmony Day and put on an amazing performance.

Singing, dancing, performing, backing each other, stepping outside comfort zones — the kind of moments that stick.

This is exactly what our Tuesday Performance Group is all about.

A space where participants can:
🎶 Build confidence through singing & movement
🎭 Explore drama, acting & creative expression
💃 Develop performance skills in a supportive environment
🤝 Form genuine friendships and social connections
✨ Be part of something exciting and meaningful

We pride ourselves on creating a program that has a true balance — not just singing and dancing, but also drama, storytelling, and performance skills. It’s about giving participants different ways to express themselves and find what they enjoy.

Whether we’re working towards a live performance, learning routines, or collaborating in workshops with the incredible Caroline Myers Bock 🙌 — every week builds towards something bigger.

One of the most special parts?
Our Swan Hill & Bendigo teams come together as one.

Participants genuinely look forward to seeing each other, and our staff go above and beyond to make that connection happen — no matter the distance. What could feel like a barrier has become one of our biggest strengths.

And the performance?

🏅 Exciting News from Bendigo Discoveries! 🏅

For the very first time, Bendigo Discoveries will be taking a team to the incredible Tri State Games in Mildura this November — and we couldn’t be more excited! Our two existing discovery branches have been attending the games for sometime and I am personally thrilled to have Bendigo join the fun

The Tri State Games are a week-long sporting event bringing together people from Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales for an unforgettable experience of sport, friendship and community. The games celebrate participation, movement and achievement at every level — from modified activities designed for fun and inclusion, to events featuring some seriously impressive athletes. From swimming and track events to egg and spoon, darts, pool, table tennis and more

Across the week there are loads of opportunities to try new sports, meet new people, build confidence and create friendships with participants and providers from across Australia. There’s also plenty of fun beyond the sport, including opening ceremonies, dress-up competitions and lots of social activities throughout the week.

It’s truly one of the most positive and inclusive events we’ve seen — and we’re thrilled that Bendigo Discoveries participants will be part of it this year.

We do have the capacity to expand our team, so if you’ve been thinking about joining Bendigo Discoveries and the idea of being part of something like the Tri State Games sounds exciting to you, we’d love to hear from you.

✨ Friday Out & About Fun! ✨

What a fabulous way to wrap up the week!
Our Bendigo + Swan Hill crew had an absolute blast getting out and about and trying something a little different with a visit to glow-in-the-dark mini golf ⛳

Days like these are all about community inclusion, building confidence, and creating opportunities to connect with others in a relaxed and fun environment. Everyone got involved, shared plenty of laughs, and enjoyed being part of the wider community.

Massive thank you to Tap It Inn for having us and being accomodating to fit all 22 of us in.

Our Friday Out & About days are designed to:
✔️ Explore different community spaces
✔️ Try new and exciting activities
✔️ Build social networks and friendships
✔️ End the week on a positive, feel-good high

Seeing the smiles, encouragement, and friendships growing is exactly what these days are all about 💙

Bendigo Discoveries is seeking a compassionate, energetic and switched-on Support Worker to join our team in a Bendigo-based role.

This position would suit someone who enjoys building routine, supporting independence, and being a calm, consistent presence in a participant’s day.

About the Role

• Establishing and maintaining routine and structure
• Supporting morning and afternoon routines
• Building independence, confidence, and social skills
• Providing clear boundaries and consistent expectations
• Supporting group-based programs, including drama and performance

Required Availability

Applicants must have:
• Every Thursday available for a consistent shift
⏰ 9:30am – 2:30pm

• Tuesday afternoons available
⏰ 3:30pm – 6:30pm (Drama & Performance Group)

• Willingness to pick up a 2-hour cleaning shift during the week ( We’re flexible on day & time)

• Flexibility to take on additional casual hours as available

About You

• Compassionate, reliable, and emotionally intelligent
• Confident working with people of all ages
• Able to follow routines, plans, and clear guidelines
• Professional, calm, and respectful in all interactions
• Cleaning experience preferred
• Experience in disability or support work highly regarded
• Current relevant checks and licences (or willingness to obtain)
