Our Town Berri Vision: Berri, an inclusive town that thrives through community connections.

Working together to create strong identity and town pride where all generations feel welcomed and supported to embed and nurture a culture of positive wellbeing. We acknowledge that we are on the land of the First People of the Murray and Mallee.We pay our respects to the Elders both past and present and honour the laws and customs that cross this traditional country, the ancestors who taught and still teach the knowledge that is embedded forever with the Aboriginal people today.

Congratulations to the Friends of Martins Bend group on receiving a Landscape Board Volunteer Award.

We appreciate the work you do to support this beautiful area of Berri. Their Facebook group has over 800 followers sharing photos, information, history and events.

AC.Care are hosting a cuppa and chat for R U OK Day. A day to remind us to check-in with those around us. A simple question can make a big difference.

R U OK? is a national su***de prevention charity and registered public health promotion that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times. Their work focuses on building the motivation, confidence and skills of the help-giver – the person who can have a meaningful conversation with someone who is struggling.

📣 Standard Mental Health First Aid Course (2-days)
📍Berri Town Hall - Berri SA.
🗓️ 18th & 19th of September 2025

💡 Equipping you with knowledge and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.

💬 Throughout this highly regarded and recognised course participants learn differing signs and symptoms, how to recognise and respond, barriers, available initial and some on-going treatment and supports across a range of situations. Successful completion of the course requirements provides the participant of Mental Health First Aider accreditation.

⭐️ Course fee includes the MHFA manual, notebook and pen, as well as morning tea and lunch both days. Once booked please let us know if you have any dietary requirements or sensitivities.

ALL TOWNS GATHERING

Our Town Berri travelled to Adelaide for a two-day trip to the annual All Towns Gathering! Julie, Kirste, Britney, Emma and Karl spent the first day amongst Our Town peers from Mid-Murray, Kimba, Cummins, Kangaroo Island, and the Our Town Allies and Advocates.

The Gathering is a time to connect, celebrate, share with, learn from, and listen to other Towns. The Gathering offers a unique opportunity to zoom out and take some time to breathe and reflect.

To showcase our work, each town created their own "Community Innovation Garden" to showcase all the impactful work they've been developing in the last five years!
