You can receive the whooping cough vaccine before pregnancy, but it’s especially recommended during pregnancy (from 20 weeks onwards). This timing is crucial as it helps boost your antibody production, which in turn transfers antibodies to your baby. This provides early protection and a stronger immune response against Pertussis, helping to safeguard your little one right from the start.
