Return to school hacks for parents with Neurodiverse Children, put together by Nurturing Hands Allied Health Assistance, a registered NDIS provider based in Victoria. I found this to be a great hack, so I wanted to share it with everyone. If you know someone who has a Neurodivergent child returning to school or even a parent returning to work after a long break.

Our work with participants is supporting them to move on to the next stage in their journey of independence. SEC have since day one worked hard to get the best outcome for our participants and when their care teams work together we get results. We have had some pretty amazing outcomes in our 5 years. Today we were given a review from a company we have been collaborating with. It's a company we have worked with on many occasions but this new level of collaboration has been amazing for the team involved but seeing the positive impact on our participants while working together for the best outcome. Both our businesses are client focused and outcome driven which helps gain the outcomes we work for.

I am so glad you sent this through to me Tanya Dewhurst-Rose. This from my point of view is what we do at SEC. Support people while giving them that positive reinforcement when they are doubting themselves. When you see this outcome from what we do is amazing. It is life changing for people when they learn how to have positive self belief and self talk. Watch video to the end!!

Today SEC had the annual get together of staff and participants. Everyone was socialising it was so great to see the growth and confidence and smiles and laughter.

EMHPRAC is a great resource if you are looking to educate or learn about services available and different topics of mental health. This link focuses on digital mental health for trauma.

Winter Warmers cooking group at SEC begins in May please register your interest with Casey - 0452285337.
SEC have ran cooking groups for the past three years with returning participants each term learning new and tasty ways to cook at home with a cost effective and tasty menu planned. We have had feedback from coordinators that the participants are engaging in the community more with groups and support as well as improving daily living skills and independence. We love watching the growth and confidence throughout the time of the group and the relationship building.
