Like so many Australians today, our hearts are with everyone impacted by the tragic and distressing events at Bondi last night. We hold in our thoughts the lives lost, the families and friends grieving unimaginable loss, those who were injured, and all who witnessed what unfolded.
We are also thinking of the Jewish community at this deeply distressing time, acknowledging the fear and uncertainty this can bring. We also recognise the grief, anxiety and deep sadness felt by the wider community in the wake of this tragedy. Events like these can leave a lasting impact, even for those watching from afar.
With deep admiration, we recognise those who ran towards danger to help others, and we extend our gratitude to the first responders, medical teams and support services who acted with care and courage in the face of such devastation.
In moments like this, kindness, connection and compassion matter more than ever. Please take care of one another and reach out for support if you or someone you love needs it.
