Today I led a beautiful funeral mass for G.E.G. We honoured his Italian heritage, his love of Australia, and his faith, family and friendships. We featured delightful live music, candle lighting, stories & memories, and many elements from a church service (Holy Water, Reading, Gospel, Responsorial Psalm, Prayers of the Faithful and Prayer of Commendation) G. was remembered as hardworking, loyal, positive, protective and jovial. A farmer at heart, who worked as a mechanic. He loved desserts (often before the main meal). Riposare in pace. Rest in peace. 🙏☮️

A significant ritual on a movie I watched today. 3 grandchildren gave their grandpa a warrior funeral - just as he wanted. 🌊

B.F.G., remembered as a gentleman, a car man, a Collingwood fan, a Liberal member, a traveller and sailor, and an avid reader of The Age, who was always kind. RIP 🚕🚙🚗

Today we celebrated J.K.E.E., a gentleman who loved The Beatles, Abba, Gilbert & Sullivan and Andre Rieu. He was knowledgeable, with a good sense of humour, and he enjoyed watching British Comedies. He had a real sweet tooth and his main passion was dogs. 🐾

A.J.K. whose maiden name was rose! We played country music, lit candles and placed roses in her loving memory. Remembered as loving, caring, devoted to family, friends and animals. A singer, and positive person who enjoyed a Merlot or Prosecco. Her fighting spirit until the end. 🙏🌟🥂🌷
