πŸ‘οΈ World Glaucoma Day – Protect Your Sight πŸ‘οΈ

Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide and is often called the β€œsilent thief of sight.” It develops slowly and usually without early warning signs, causing damage to the optic nerve before symptoms are noticed.

πŸ“Š Over 80 million people worldwide are affected.
⚠️ Up to 50% may not know they have it.
πŸ‘₯ Higher risk includes those over 40, with a family history, diabetes, high blood pressure, or certain ethnic backgrounds.

While vision loss from glaucoma cannot be reversed, early detection and treatment can slow or prevent further damage. A comprehensive eye exam is the only way to detect it early.

This World Glaucoma Day, remind your loved ones to schedule an eye check β€” early action can save sight. πŸ’š Wear green today to show your support for glaucoma awareness and help start conversations about the importance of regular eye exams.

πŸŽ‰ World Hearing Day – March 3, 2026 πŸŽ‰

Today we stand with the World Health Organization to raise awareness about hearing health for people of all ages. This year’s global campaign β€œFrom communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children” focuses on early detection, prevention, and access to care so that no child is left behind because of ear or hearing problems.

Did you know?
πŸ‘‚ Over 1.5 billion people worldwide experience some degree of hearing loss.
πŸ‘‚ 430 million people need help due to disabling hearing loss right now.
πŸ‘‚ By 2050, up to 2.5 billion people could be affected, and 700 million may require rehabilitation.
πŸ‘‚ 1 billion young adults are at risk of avoidable hearing damage from loud sound exposure.
πŸ‘‚ Around 90 million children & teens have hearing loss β€” and 60% of childhood cases are preventable.

How we can make a difference:
βœ”οΈ Practice safe listening: turn down loud music & use protective hearing gear.
βœ”οΈ Get regular hearing screenings for kids, adults, and elderly.
βœ”οΈ Teach children about ear health early β€” in schools and at home.
βœ”οΈ Share this post to help spread awareness across your community!

Let’s protect every child’s right to learn, connect, and thrive β€” one sound at a time! πŸ’™

πŸ’™πŸ’œ Tube Feeding Awareness Week | 1–7 February 2026

This week, we recognise and celebrate the strength, resilience, and everyday lives of people who rely on tube feeding for nutrition, hydration, and medication.

Whether it’s a short-term NG tube πŸ₯ or a long-term G or J tube πŸ’‰, tube feeding is all about giving the body what it needs to stay strong and healthy. Different tubes, same goal β€” nourishment, strength, and support for everyday life. ✨

Tube feeding is not a limitation β€” it’s a lifeline. For many individuals and families, it supports health, growth, independence, and quality of life. Behind every feeding tube is a person with goals, dreams, relationships, and a full life to live.

Tube Feeding Awareness Week is about:
πŸ’œ Reducing stigma
πŸ’™ Increasing understanding
πŸ’œ Normalising medical nutrition
πŸ’™ Supporting individuals and families
πŸ’œ Promoting inclusion and dignity

New Facebook Presence

Making the step out into true social media as a business provider is a little daunting but as the business grows and we get such great feedback from clients, their families and service providers I feel the time is right to open up a more public forum.

I look forward to what this new brave future may bring.
