Qigong Flow

Qigong Flow Qigong is a gentle form of exercise which involves low impact, flowing movements, gentle stretching, breathing techniques, and meditation.

Qigong works on the energy (Qi) system of the body, restoring balance and harmony in the body to maintain health and wellbeing. Disease occurs when there are blockages and imbalances in our Qi (‘life force energy’) flow. The purpose of Qigong exercises is to restore the normal circulation of the Qi in the body clearing any blockages or stagnant Qi, and transforming it into fresh sustaining energy, improving Qi imbalances within the energy system in our bodies. As a result, it makes the human body healthier and more harmonious on all levels – physically, emotionally, and mentally. On a physical level, through the gentle movements, we are exercising all the joints, muscles, and tendons in the body, helping with flexibility, muscle tone, and stimulating the blood circulation through the whole body. On an energetic level, practicing Qigong cultivates and strengthens our Qi (‘life force energy’) assisting in the prevention of disease. Emotionally and mentally, it helps to calm the mind and body, reduces stress and anxiety, restoring balance in the body to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

Happy New Year!

2022 has been challenging, but I’m looking forward to positive change for 2023. So, I’m pleased to say that I will be resuming my Qigong classes and looking forward to practicing this gentle form of meditative exercise, restoring balance in the body.
