My little love ‘Cleo’ has arrived!

She is just so beautiful and I feel ever so grateful and blessed to be her Mummy 🥰. I’ve been off line for a few weeks and will be for a few more while we get to know each other.

Naturally, I’m missing a fair amount of the all important sleep required for young but luckily it’s compensated by a flood of happy hormones from breast feeding and Cleo cuddles. 💕 And it makes sense Mother Nature helps us here as human love and connection plays a very big role in .

Did you know volunteering helps you . The positive impact on our happy hormones can reduce inflammation and strengthen our immune systems.

When THE leading global longevity scientist says so get excited!

David shares that 80% of our healthspan depends on the way we live our lives. His work is the main reason I got and continue to be excited about this space and share what I learn along the way.

It is what, when, and how much we eat, how we move our bodies, the quality of our relationships, how we breathe and manage our minds, our connection to community, sense of purpose and so much more.

Our brain needs our love & attention to function at its best. 🙌

And when functioning well we feel so much better, have more energy, and can flow through our busy days.🐬

Here are some tips:

1. Eat lots of healthy fats like avocado, nuts, seeds, olives, olive oil & flaxseed oil.
2. We lose muscle mass as we age and when this happens our brains also take a hit. I tend towards, fish, eggs, protein shakes, nuts, and occasionally poultry & red meat.
3. 75% of our plates should be colourful plant foods. They are loaded with phytonutrients that our cells & brains love.
4. Avoid high sugar, food preservatives, and additives, they poison our brains and disrupt our microbiome.
5. Exercise improves our mood, memory, and focus, plus it reduces the stress in our bodies.
6. Actively relax - yoga, mediation, or listening/playing music are great options.

Happy New Year with a to NY Day 2015.

I have fond memories of this new years day because it started with spending quality time with loved ones, serving my community (although in this pic I don't look like I'm actually doing much about saving lives 🙄) and being in nature.

As it turns out having these three things in your life are super important in helping you . 🙌

These unassuming little seeds and packed with nutrition and an amazing ratio of good fats, fiber, and protein.

They may also have antioxidant effects and may reduce symptoms of numerous ailments, improving the health of the heart, skin, and joints.

H**p seeds are great with any meal and I like to make homemade h**p 'mylk' for my coffee and shakes

All I want for Christmas is quality sleep every night. 😴

What a great gift this would be....for you, your family, your friends, your work, the community....everyone!

Matthew Walker is the leading global sleep scientist and he believes like many scientists and functional doctors that without quality sleep its doesn't matter how well we eat, exercise, and meditate we will be growing old quickly and prone to disease if we are not getting enough sleep.

Here are my tips for getting quality sleep:

😴Get 10-20 minutes of direct sunlight before 10 am
😴 Turn off bright lights in the evening and set screens on night mode
😴 Avoid caffeine in the afternoon and finish eating 2 hours before bedtime
😴 Create and stick to a bedtime ritual - a hot shower or bath is ideal
😴 Keep your bedroom dark and if you wake don't turn on bright lights or look at screens
😴 Keep your room cool - the ideal sleeping temperature is 18 degrees

So if your sleep is substandard, why not make committing to practices that support quality sleep your Christmas gift and you can start 2022 well rested and ready to embrace your wonderful resolutions.
