Life lately: mostly lots of foraging, crafting, making incense and singing songs to the trees! 🌳🌸

If you swipe to the last pic. I found this stick that looked like a bird the other day, and was intending to turn it into a rattle to use in my journeys. But realised I had probably gone a bit far and decided to give it back to the earth in the end because it was kind of freaking me out at home with its creepy energy! 😅

Recently in the studio with ! Exploring with Dolby atmos - creating immersive recordings that use technology and speakers overhead to deliver sound from all directions. Which make it feel like you are really in the middle of the recording! 🌀

Super excited about where this is all heading! I’ve been pretty MIA lately on socials, preferring to work quietly on projects rather than just talking about them. Which is sometimes my tendency 🫠

Anyway 2026 is the year of the fire horse 🐎 So taking action and movement is required! And I’m excited to keep learning all I can about the sound world. I’ve found the more I learn the more I realise I need to learn! Attempting to balancing technical skills with intuitive ways of creating. ✨

Metaphors for life - Sometimes the mess is necessary. 🌀

First world problems - Having to let go of my beautiful sound set up has been kinda hard 🙈 Adding mics and tech and cables makes things look so messy. But I decided I would rather things that feel (and sound!) better, than just looking good.

I do kind of miss this cute little set up I had when I first began though. The days of the Double bay sound journeys. Would love to know if there’s anyone still here from those days??

Well…that was fun!

I have so many mixed feelings today after holding my first ecstatic dance last night - from joy, relief, a honestly a bit flat today that it’s all over!
Just want to say a huge thank-you to everyone that came last night and danced with me. I lovvveeed getting to meet you all.

What a gift it is that we get to have music in this life.

As some of you may know, along with sound journeys. One of my other passions is raving and electronic dance music!

From the minute I went to my first rave I was hooked. The pumping bass, the people, the lights, the energy. There was and still is nothing like feeling the beat of 4 to the floor moving through my body. It’s the place I began to feel the most free. The most like myself. And the most joy.

And so I’m excited to share that I’m hosting my first ecstatic dance event in Canberra - fri 8th august 6:30pm!

An event designed to get you out of your head and into your body with some rhythmic goodness. Think afro house, organic house, tribal beats and maybe a hint of techno. And then we’ll melt into a soothing live sound healing session to finish.

Finding the right sound journey space can feel like trying to find the one.
So many factors need to be right - does it have good acoustics, is it vibey, does it feel safe, is it in the right location, good availability?

Some people think all you need is just a big room. But after facilitating many journeys, I’ve realised that these details are actually so important to have in a space. It’s the environment that allows us to feel safe enough to let ourselves to go deep ✨

The next journey in this beautiful space (Belconnen Arts Centre, Canberra) is on the 30th May and it’s selling quite quickly 🫶🏻 Would love to see you there if you feel you need some soothing sounds in your life 🪬🌀
