If you’re a parent of a teenage boy, you’ll likely recognise this…
That sense that something is shifting.
He’s not a child anymore — but he’s not quite a young man yet.
There are moments of independence, strength and insight…
And also moments of withdrawal, frustration, uncertainty.
You might find yourself wondering:
Am I doing enough to support him?
Is he okay?
Who is he becoming?
At Nunyara Farm, we’ve had many of these conversations with parents over time.
And what we hear, again and again, is this:
There is a real need for spaces where boys can be challenged, supported, and guided — not just academically, but personally.
Grounded was created with this in mind.
A three-day, land-based retreat for boys in Years 9–10, designed to support them in building:
• self-awareness
• resilience
• responsibility
• connection — to themselves, to others, and to the natural world
Through practical challenges, shared experience, and time away from everyday pressures, boys are given the opportunity to step back, reset, and begin to understand themselves in a different way.
Not through pressure.
Not through performance.
But through experience.
If this resonates with you, we invite you to learn more.
