I can provide information about accessing home care in our regional area, supported by local support providers with flexibility and care tailored to your needs, now and in the future. You are the boss of your support needs and I can help you access this model of support, locally, keeping you in control of your future and ability to stay living well at home.
I will also be sharing information about the new Aged Care Act & revised statement of rights. Ask anything about home care packages (Support at Home) or workforce info with Mable, if I don't have the answer I will find it for you 🙂

Changes are coming to Australia's aged care system on November 1, 2025, and a new rights-based Aged Care Act will replace the current laws. The new legislation aims to make aged care safer, fairer, and more respectful by putting the rights of older people first. Here are some of the key changes:
*New Support at Home Program
The current Home Care Packages program will be replaced by the Support at Home Program.
*New Rights and Accountability
A Statement of Rights will be introduced, ensuring that older people have the right to make their own decisions about their care and have those decisions respected.
*Information Sharing
To make it easier for people to understand and access services, there will be a single entry point to aged care. The new act streamlines the assessment process and provides clearer rules for eligibility.
