Loving the reaction Buddy has been getting from the public! He is very easy to love 💙

Come and buddy up with 'Buddy'! What a great way to spend Australia Day - say hello to Buddy the joyful Australian kelpie, have a swim, indulge in some retail therapy, maybe fish and chips on the beach? or a meal at one of our fine eateries? and wash it down with an ice-cream.

Buddy and more than 200 other sculptures are on display along the foreshore and in marquees on Bindarra Reserve at Brighton.

We look forward to seeing you down there tomorrow.

After 2 and a half years in the making, we finally have a sculpture on display in the competition.

“Buddy” was expertly fabricated by based on a dog form that I hand sculpted from Hebel sandstone. He is made from thousands of stainless steel nuts, each individually welded by Luke.

Buddy will be on display near the Brighton jetty for the rest of the month.
