This week, we’re joined by a remarkable guest, Tenille James. Together with her husband Mitch, Tenille is the proud parent of three beautiful children; Kenny, Andie, and Harley. 🤍

Andie and Harley were born at 35 weeks via caesarean section. Shortly after birth, Andie developed a life-threatening condition known as Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn, or PPHN. This serious condition meant Andie’s circulation remained in its fetal state, preventing the critical transition needed for life outside the womb. 🫀

It was a terrifying and uncertain time, involving intensive care, life support, complex medications, and the constant attention of medical specialists. Against the odds, Andie fought through — a true testament to strength and resilience.
But even after bringing the twins home, the journey was far from over. Tenille and her family would soon face challenges they never anticipated.

This year, The Premie Pod is raising funds for Red Nose Day in honour of little Andie Jude James. Andie was born with her twin brother Harley in 2021. She bravely fought and recovered from severe PPHN and went home, but sadly passed away from SIDS at just 9 months old ❤️
