We had some Pace members putting their months of training into action today. Namely,
Nicola M in the Aquabike race at Kingscliff Triathlon AND Wally M, Mark S & Paul S doing the Hervey Bay Triathlon. Congratulations to all on their respective performances. Special mention to Paul who managed 2nd place in the 65-69yrs category.

ROAD CLOSURES & CHANGES TO ACCESS TO FITNESS CENTRE SUNDAY OCTOBER 25

We recommend that you allow an extra 10 minutes to get into the Complex this Sunday morning.

We have Triathlon Pink here at Sleeman this Sunday October 26th.

There will be some Road Closures and changes to Parking and access until around 12noon (see attached map).

Ring Road between P4 and P2 will be CLOSED from 4am to 11am (Traffic controllers will be on duty). P1 will be CLOSED until around 12noon. P2 & P3 will be OPEN - Ring Road between P3 and P2 will operate 2-way.

Access to the Fitness Centre on Sunday until 12 noon will be via Door b (which faces Carp Park 2), through into the inside concourse of the velodrome, walk around carpeted area to stairs near the lift and descend to Level 1.

Chandler Road will be closed ALL DAY Saturday 25 October 2025 and until 12:00pm Sunday 26 October 2025. No parking available just outside the Aquatic Centre. Accessible parking is available in P2 and P3.

🏃‍♀️Running 50km in Blackall. Sound like fun?
Congratulations to Pace Members Sonya Stribling & Kirsty Evans for completing the 50km event and the Blackall 100 on Sunday.

Given that it was 38 degrees, this was a truly Heroic effort.

Pool Closure
Saturday 11 - Sunday 12 October
Due to technical difficulties the Pool TImetable is showing incorrect pool availability. Unfortunately due to the Swimming QLD Long Course Preparation Meet the Dive Pool, Indoor 50m and Outdoor 50m Pools are closed for the duration of Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October.
