Shin-The Listening Body Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Through listening to the body, I support emotional release, nervous system regulation, and reconnection to self and heart.

This space holds reflections from sessions, my own healing journey, and creative expressions.

People often ask me what I feel during a session.
In Craniosacral Therapy, we listen to the body’s tide (the Primary Respiration), how it moves through inhalation and exhalation.
We feel the movement of the bones: whether they feel easeful, tense, open, restricted, or in torsion.
We notice where the body holds stillness.
We listen to what the system needs in that moment, because every body has its own inherent treatment plan.
And there are many more subtle layers within a session.
But the most important question isn’t what I feel,
it’s what you feel during and after the session.

💙When my voice finally came through💙
Last month I went to a 2-day voice healing workshop.
One of the exercises was to create our own mantra using three sounds starting with “Om” and ending with “Namaha”.
So I created this mantra:
Om Mam Yam Aim Namaha
While I was chanting, I could feel the tears coming, but I tried to hold them back at first.
Until someone said,
“Finally you are being heard.”
I couldn’t hold it anymore. I just let all the tears come out.
Afterwards I realised these sounds felt connected to my heart, to my mum, and to expression itself.
The power of our voice… it really carries something of the soul.
Since that moment, something has shifted in me. I feel grateful that I can slowly begin to express myself more honestly through my voice.
This healing journey isn’t always smooth. It takes courage. And sometimes tears.
And I’m really beginning to understand… how much support we need when we go through it.
This is the painting I created after my voice opening experience.

Today a lady came in for a massage.
The moment I met her, I could feel she was carrying a lot. I had a sense she was going through something in her life but I also felt that if I asked too many questions, she might close off.
So I simply allowed her to be.
During the massage, I could feel her quietly releasing. There were moments I wanted to ask if she was okay, but I knew that might pull her out of the process. Instead, I stayed present and held space for whatever needed to move.
By the end of the session, she told me she felt much better and lighter.
I simply said, “I’m glad you feel better.”
This reminded me that sometimes healing doesn’t need words.
We don’t always need to confront what someone is going through for release to happen.
Sometimes people need reassurance.
Sometimes people need to talk.
And sometimes they just need a safe space where they can let go without being asked to explain.
Everyone heals differently.💙

About Me:

I’m a biodynamic craniosacral practitioner. My work comes from my own healing journey. (It is challenging but meaningful.)
Through my own experiences with stress, tension, trauma and moments of disconnection, I learned how profoundly the body can heal when given space, gentleness, and stillness. This inspired me to become a practitioner, so I could create that same supportive space for others.
I believe in the quiet power of presence and gentleness. As Thích Nhất Hạnh says, “The power of relaxation is profound. Our body already knows how to heal itself.” When we slow down and soften, the body naturally finds its way back to balance.
My approach honors the body’s own timing. Rather than force or correct, I listen for what is ready to soften, allowing muscles, fascia, and the nervous system to release naturally when safety is felt.
You don’t have to hold everything alone.
Everyone deserves support, and a space to soften and return to yourself.
Let’s walk this healing journey together 🩵

Today during a session, something really stayed with me.

A client came in holding a lot of tension on her back, shoulders, head. She shared she’s been seeing a physio and getting regular massages, but nothing was really shifting.

As I was working, I noticed she started sniffing. At first I thought maybe she was just a bit blocked… then I realised she was quietly crying.

I didn’t try to change anything. Just stayed with her and gently said, “it’s okay to let it come out.”

No fixing. No rushing. Just space.

Toward the end, I offered a few minutes of craniosacral holding.
Afterwards she said, “that was really powerful… I feel like I can finally breathe.”

It reminded me again that sometimes the body isn’t just holding tension — it’s holding a lot more than that. Emotions, experiences… things that haven’t had the space to be felt.

When the body feels safe, it knows what to do.🙂

What is Craniosacral Therapy? 🌿
Craniosacral Therapy (often called “cranio”) is a gentle, hands-on approach that works with the body’s natural rhythms and intelligence.
Using light touch, we listen to the subtle movements of the craniosacral system, the membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Through this deep listening, the body is given space to release tension, unwind patterns, and return to balance in its own time.
It’s not about “fixing” or forcing change.
It’s about creating a safe space where your body feels heard.
Sometimes this process can bring a sense of deep relaxation.
Sometimes emotions, memories, or sensations may surface, all part of the body’s way of releasing what it has been holding.
Cranio supports:
• Nervous system regulation
• Stress and tension release
• Headaches, jaw, neck, and back discomfort
• Emotional processing and inner connection
Every session is different, because every body has its own story.
Your body already knows how to heal.
Sometimes, it just needs to be truly listened to.

Shin-The Listening Body
“Shin” carries layered meanings across different traditions:
心 (heart), 神 (spirit), 信 (faith), and 真 (truth).
Together, they point to something very simple and very deep: the intelligence that already lives within the body when we slow down enough to listen.
“Listening Body” describes how this work unfolds.
It is not about fixing or forcing change. It is about creating space for the body to be met, through presence, gentle touch, and attuned awareness.
In this space, the body is not treated as something to be corrected, but something that is already communicating, already moving toward balance in its own way.

My work is a process of listening.
Listening to tension.
Listening to holding patterns.
Listening to what has not been spoken.
And in that listening, something begins to soften, and the body can return to its natural rhythm of ease, expression, and coherence.
I do not work to create dependence. My intention is to support you in reconnecting with your own inner resources, stability, and self-trust. If one day you no longer feel the need to return, it means your body has remembered how to support itself and in that, the work has succeeded.🌿

I had a client come in for a half massage, half cranio session today.
As soon as she walked in, I could feel she was holding a lot… like something inside her was really tight. When I asked what she’d like to work on, she simply said “just relax.” I felt there was more there, but she wasn’t quite ready to share and that’s okay.
Usually I start with massage and move into cranio at the end. But today felt different, so I followed that and began with cranio.
As I held her in pieta, I could feel her nervous system slowly starting to settle. When I gently checked in, she said “yeah… that helps,” but I could also feel the tears right there, just beneath the surface. I softly let her know it was okay if anything wanted to come up.
I could sense she felt a bit exposed, so I moved down to hold her feet, giving her a little more space. And that’s when something shifted. Her body softened, and the tears finally felt safe enough to come through.
After she settled, I came back in closer. We even spoke a little about how vulnerable it can feel to cry in front of someone.
Later I asked if she’d still like the massage, and she said no, her body was asking for more nervous system support instead.
It was such a gentle reminder… when we really listen, the body shows us the way 🩵

I’m a deep feeler.
I feel a lot in life… and in my work.
I’m realising that part of my path is to share these experiences from sessions, and from my own inner healing journey.
Today, a woman came in for a massage.
She didn’t say much about what she wanted to work on, but I could feel a strong tension in her field.
Halfway through the session, I noticed my own throat and heart starting to tighten.
I knew that wasn’t mine.
So I gently asked her what was happening in her life.
She paused, then shared that she was going through heartbreak.
As the session unfolded, I gently slowed down and brought in a more still, craniosacral approach
holding space for her to just be,
to let go, and to breathe again.
Nothing dramatic happened.
Just a quiet space and something beginning to soften.
The body often speaks before words do.
And sometimes, listening is enough to begin the healing.
This is the space I hold.
