Let’s talk about your three o’clock craving. You know the one when you’re tired, distracted, maybe even a little emotional, and your hand’s already halfway to the coffee machine or the snack cupboard.
But what if your body isn’t asking for caffeine… what if it’s asking for connection?
I used to hit that afternoon wall hard. The jittery crash. The emotional hunger. The ‘just push through’ mentality.
Now, I’ve swapped the quick fix for a ritual: cacao. Not just any cacao. I use Sacred Cacao, and I choose the blend based on what I need.
When my mind is racing? I go for the ‘Love’ blend. It settles me, softens me. When I feel ungrounded or chaotic, I use ‘Earth.’ It brings me back to centre.
It’s not just a drink. It’s a sacred pause a reminder that I don’t need to caffeinate my way through the day. I can nourish my way through it.
Here’s the shift: every time I feel that craving, I ask is this hunger, fatigue, or disconnection?
If it’s disconnection, cacao is my medicine. I sit, I sip, I return.
So next time you reach for something to keep you going, ask yourself: what’s the deeper need underneath this craving?
