Did you know? Exercise isn't just about building muscles, it can have quite the effect on your gut health too! Research reveals its unique ability to independently enhance our gut's well-being, regardless of other factors.

Further, it seems that aerobic exercise (e.g., cardio) has the biggest impact on changing gut bacteria, while resistance training has a smaller effect. However, when combined with aerobic exercise, resistance training's influence might add up over time.

In saying all this, a healthy gut will thrive the most on embracing multiple factors like diet (including high fibre foods), exercise, sleep, and stress management. It's the synergy of these elements that cultivates good gut health, which is really the cornerstone of our well-being ! 💪🌱

"True health is sustainable health" 💚

Small habits make the biggest impact in the long run. As and brilliantly discussed on a recent 'Food for Thought' podcast episode, it's all about finding manageable steps that fit into our busy lives. Whether it's cooking a nourishing meal, a quick meditation/stretch, or prepping tomorrow's breakfast, every small effort counts. Aim for progress, not perfection. As Ella said, we need to embrace "compassion and longevity" in our journey towards health. Remember, there's no better time to start than today. 🌱
