Whether you drive a truck, a bus, a taxi, or pick up rideshare work through Uber, DiDi, Ola or Bolt — your livelihood runs on a medical certificate most people forget about until it's nearly expired.

We do these medicals every week at McDowall. Our GPs assess against the Austroads commercial standard, complete the right TMR paperwork, and give each medical the proper 30 to 45 minutes it deserves — vision, blood pressure, heart rhythm, sleep, fatigue, diabetes, neurological history, mental health, musculoskeletal function, medications. Done properly.

It's also one of the few structured opportunities a commercial driver gets to take stock of how the work is treating their body. Long hours, irregular sleep, sedentary postures and takeaway food aren't a recipe for cardiovascular health.
