✨ Circumferential Body Lift (Belt Lipectomy) with Gluteal Auto Augmentation and Liposuction After Massive Weight Loss ✨ 360° Procedure
This patient achieved an incredible 72kg weight loss following gastric sleeve surgery 4 years ago but was left with significant skin redundancy, abdominolipodystrophy, and re**us diastasis (abdominal muscle separation). To restore body contour and function, Dr Cheng performed a circumferential body lift (belt lipectomy) – a 360° procedure addressing excess skin and fat around the abdomen, flanks, lower back, and buttocks.
👨‍⚕️ Surgeon: Dr Eddie Cheng | MED0001399314

💉 Procedure Details: ✅ Back Lipectomy: Skin and fat excision to reshape the lower back and waist ✅ Gluteal Auto-Augmentation: Utilising the patient’s own tissue to restore volume and shape to the buttocks ✅ Liposuction: Refining contour in multiple areas ✅ Abdominoplasty with liposuction (Tummy Tuck): Skin and fat excision for a firmer, smoother abdominal area ✅ Re**us Plication: Repairing muscle separation for core strength and posture improvement ✅ Umbilical Relocation: Maintaining natural belly button aesthetics ✅ Drains: 15 Fr Blake’s drain placed for post-operative fluid management

🔹 What is a Circumferential Body Lift? A belt lipectomy is an advanced body contouring surgery designed for patients who have lost massive weight. Unlike a traditional tummy tuck, this procedure removes excess skin and fat from the entire midsection, including the lower back and buttocks. It helps address:⚡ Sagging, redundant skin⚡Skin irritation and infections (intertrigo)⚡ Loss of natural buttock volume post-weight loss

📅 Recovery & Aftercare:🩹 Patients wear compression garments for 6 weeks to support healing🚶‍♂️ Early mobilisation is encouraged to reduce the risk of complications
Drain removal may take 5-10 days 🏥 Hospital stay of 3-7 nights depending on individual recovery progress⚠️ Full results take time – swelling gradually reduces over months, with scars maturing over 12-18 months

The outcomes shown are only relevant for this patient and do not necessarily reflect the results other patients may experience, as results may vary due to many factors including the individual’s genetics, diet and exercise.

💡 2 Staged Breast Surgery: Breast Reduction with Lift followed by breast augmentation surgery.

PLEASE NOTE: Before and after images have been removed by Facebook but can be seen via the link below.

For some patients, a staged approach to breast surgery provides the best results. This patient underwent a bilateral breast reduction with accessory breast tissue removal as Stage 1, followed by breast augmentation with 425cc round textured silicone implants six months later.

✅ Why Choose a Staged Approach?
✔️ Optimised Breast Shape & Symmetry – Allowing tissues to settle before augmentation ensures a more balanced result.
✔️ Improved Healing & Safety – Reduces surgical stress and minimises complications.
✔️ Tailored Volume Selection – Implant size and shape are chosen after healing.
✔️ Flexibility in Decision-Making – Patients have time to decide if augmentation aligns with their goals.
