📣 Meet Dr Charlotte Ramin – Our New Registrar at Silky Oaks Medical Practice!
👩⚕️ What’s a GP Registrar – and Why Are They So Important?
At Silky Oaks, we’re proud to be a teaching practice — shaping the next generation of GPs through the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program.
But what does that mean for you as a patient?
🩺 GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors who have completed their hospital training and are now specialising in general practice. They consult independently, are closely supervised by senior GPs, and bring energy, up-to-date knowledge, and extra time to listen and care.
This month, we’re thrilled to welcome our newest registrar — Dr Charlotte Ramin — to the team! Dr Charlotte will be starting on Monday, the 21st of July.
🌟 Dr Ramin graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland and has worked in a variety of hospital settings across Brisbane and overseas. Her experience spans emergency medicine, general medicine, gastroenterology, and women’s and children’s health — she recently completed the Graduate Diploma in Child Health Program to strengthen her skills in paediatric care.
Charlotte has a kind and curious approach to medicine, and a genuine passion for working in partnership with patients and families.
At Silky Oaks, we believe training the next generation of doctors isn’t just a responsibility — it’s a privilege. When you see a registrar like Dr Ramin, you're not only in excellent hands, you're also contributing to the future of Australian general practice.
💙 Please join us in welcoming Dr Charlotte to the team!
