WALKAROOS BRISBANE TRIALS – FINAL CALL!

PLEASE NOTE: This announcement applies to the BRISBANE TRIALS ONLY.

Registrations for the Brisbane Trials will officially close this Sunday, 24th August – NO EXCEPTIONS.

We are excited to confirm that 73 players have already registered. With such strong numbers, we may need to split groups into different times. If that happens, ALL trialists will be notified on Monday with updated details.

Some players have indicated their interest but have not completed the registration process. Others have registered but not yet paid their fees. Please make sure this is done before the cut-off date – otherwise, your place in the trials cannot be guaranteed.

A huge thank you to everyone in Brisbane for showing such great passion and interest in trialling for the Walkaroos ahead of the IWFF World Championships next May.

If you haven’t registered yet, this is your last chance – registrations close at midnight this Sunday!

Walkaroos 2026 Trials – Registration & Venue Updates

Dear Players,

What a week! In just the first 7 days, we’ve had 115 entries for the Walkaroos 2026 trials a fantastic response and a sign of the exciting months ahead.

A huge thank you to everyone who has already registered, paid, and submitted their completed forms.

Out of that total, there are only a handful of players who still need to finalise their entry by completing and sending in:

We are delighted to announce our Brisbane Trials will be held at Perry Park on the Warmup fields. We would like to pass a huge thank you to Bruce Dinsdale CEO Brisbane Strikers for his great efforts in getting us the field for this important event.

After holding trials across Australia over the past three years, we’ve identified and selected the best available players during that time. The result of this thorough process is the formation of some of the strongest squads ever assembled to represent Australia on the international stage.

Importantly, those selected haven’t rested on their achievements. Over the past 6–7 months, they’ve worked hard to elevate their fitness, sharpen their skills, and improve their overall wellbeing — making them not only well-prepared for Sweden, but also outstanding ambassadors for Walking Football Australia.

All of Australia should be proud to get behind these eight remarkable teams, who will give their all to put Australia firmly on the global Walking Football map.

And for those aspiring to be part of the Walkaroos in future ~ take note: selection is only the beginning. Ongoing improvement, commitment to training, and a strong team mindset are essential to earn and keep a place on the international stage.
