My passion is to change the lives of people, improving their body and mind wellbeing by teaching them Tai Chi and Qi Gong gentle exercise, as well as through Healing Massage. After many years of practicing and teaching Tai Chi, I discovered the modified ‘Tai Chi for Health’ programs designed by Dr Paul Lam, and in 2013 Tai Chi for Health Brisbane was born. Dr Paul Lam has worked with Tai Chi exper

ts and medical specialists to create the Tai Chi for Health Programs. They are easy and enjoyable to learn, and supported by many scientific studies proving their effectiveness and safety. The health benefits of Tai Chi include:

Stoicism is an ancient Greek philosophy that teaches how to live a good and fulfilling life by focusing on what we can control and letting go of what we cannot.

Key Ideas of Stoicism:
1. Control What You Can – We cannot control external events, but we can control our thoughts, emotions, and actions.
2. Virtue is the Highest Good– A good life is based on wisdom, courage, justice, and self-discipline.
3. Accept What Happens – Everything happens according to nature; resisting it causes suffering.
4. Mind Over Emotions – Emotions like anger and fear come from our judgments; by changing our thinking, we can remain calm and rational.
5. Live in the Present – Worrying about the past or future distracts us from what we can do right now.

How Stoicism Connects to Tai Chi:
Like Tai Chi, Stoicism promotes **balance, mindfulness, and inner peace**. Practicing Tai Chi helps cultivate a calm mind and controlled emotions, just as Stoicism teaches us to stay composed in all situations. Both encourage self-discipline, self-awareness, and harmony with the natural flow of life.
