Earlier this week, our underground carpark was left unlocked by the construction team onsite and someone broke into our locked secure bike cage under the shop in Lutwyche, destroyung the whole cage.

Sadly, on the weekend, a very special custom built electric trike had been stored temporarily following a fitting by a family from regional Queensland.
This unique semi-recumbent trike had been especially modified to accommodate the individual needs of the wonderful young lady, who is normally wheelchair-bound.
With so many modifications, it is difficult to describe the complexity and uniqueness of the final trike.
And then someone stole it.
We believe it was an opportunistic theft as earlier in the night on Monday, other thieves had already broken in, manually cut out the fixed and locked cage and stole what they wanted. We lost other bikes as well and have all this on camera.
They left this custom trike for someone else to steal. And in the early hours someone decided to take what wasn't theirs and leave us and our customer without a trike to deliver.
All that hard work, gone - devastating.The build took our wonderful and dedicated specialist team many, many hours to perfect. We had to import specific parts and organise fabricated components to make it work for this young rider. It is what we do very well. It isn't easy making a unique adaptive trike.
And someone thought they would just take it and do what? We just don't understand.
If you know someone who has miraculously turned up with a trike which looks like the photos, please call the shop. Or bring it to the shop, no questions asked. If you see it dumped, please tell us.
Police have been notified and we have the theft reported. Please return the trike, no questions asked.
Remember, this theft is now impacting a very worthy young girl who just wants to get out and ride like all her peers. We can't turn around a replacement easily or quickly, so if we could get it back, it would be a great relief. We will make sure she isn't left without a trike of course, but it will take time to replicate this custom build.

Realistically, this is a one-of-its-kind model with custom front, back, sides and components. It is not much good to anyone else with the customisations fitted.
