Parents are often our biggest supporters in life, with a wealth of experience and wisdom that we can always tap into.

But there will come a point in time when they won’t be able to perform their daily activities as they used to.

You may notice that from the untended garden, overflowing laundry basket, or small changes to their daily routine.

When this happens, it might be time to explore the option of home care support to assist them around the house.

But the problem is: How do you convince your parents to accept a little extra help?

This can be a tricky conversation. The good thing is, at CareGivers, we know a thing or two about how and when to best have "the aged care talk" with your parents.

As you get older, living at home independently can become increasingly challenging. If doing the things you used to do on your own are becoming more difficult, in home care can provide the assistance you need to continue living independently.

Asking someone for additional help doesn’t mean you have to give up your independence; in fact, it’s quite the opposite. Getting a little help with daily activities means you can stay independent in your own home for longer. A little support from an experienced carer can lead to a much healthier and less stressful lifestyle.

Here's what you can expect when choosing in home care as your choice of aged care: https://www.caregivers.com.au/help-at-home-what-to-expect-when-choosing-in-home-care/

Do you feel responsible professionally or personally for an elderly person?

Our philosophy is “Nothing is too much trouble”, we believe everyone should be able to age gracefully in the manor that they desire with the care, love and support of trusted professionals, we are happy to go the extra mile to make this happen for our clients.

Our in home service is tailored, personalised, holistic and specialised. We don’t need hundreds of clients, we prefer to have a small number and truly tick off their wish list. We offer numerous services that other providers simply cannot cater for, all the bells and whistles are available. Each one of our clients are special but we are looking for more to become part of the Caregivers family and continue to live their life in a way they are accustom too and with dignity.

Statistics show that relocating an elderly person generally due to not having the home support to meet their required needs, has a dramatic negative emotional impact on your client an often shortens their lifespan.

That unhappy day and relocation to a nursing home for your clients, can often be postponed by simply getting in touch with Caregivers first, to assess the situation and report back to you what home care solutions could actually be implemented to cater for your clients’ needs if they would prefer to remain at home.

"How old would you be, if you didn't know how old you were?"

A part of you still feels young. Don’t let the physical realities of a frail body or the passing discomfort of an illness stop you from living and experiencing new things.

Aged care should be all about you and the best care that you can afford. Not about finding new ways to lower the cost of care to improve the profitability.

Caregivers is dedicated to rewarding you for the life you’ve lived and challenging you to make new experiences that make life worth living.

Live life in colour and not shades of grey!

Are your parents ageing and less capable of looking after themselves?

When your kids are young, an au-pair is handy. Now that your parents are frail, a private carer is also handy.

Caregivers staff are there to support both you and your parents. We are not there to take your place in their life, our role is to discreetly assist you at every opportunity, allowing your relationship to be as close as it has always been and ensure no disagreements about whether or not they are ‘looking after themselves’.

If you want help getting them to a grand child’s school open day function, then we can make it happen. Our job is not to replace the love and affection that you share, it’s to allow your parents to be at their best and to feel how much you care for them.

We are happy to deliver them to your family Christmas lunch and collect them again afterwards. Our job is to be discreet and let your parents be the best version of themselves possible.
