At Recovery Metrics, we often speak about the importance of data in driving better treatment outcomes. But every now and then, the data tells a story that stops you in your tracks — one that reminds you why we do this work.

Some years ago, I supported a family to bring about recovery in their adolescent daughter whom presented with severe, complex, and co-morbid Anorexia Nervosa. This year, now a young woman, she tragically relapsed and returned to Centre for Integrative Health. This time, she is being treated by one of our early-career clinicians - someone just 12 months out of completing her Master's degree. And what has unfolded since has been nothing short of remarkable.

Despite the complexity, the clinician stayed focused and delivered treatment with precision. Recovery Metrics helped her cut through the noise, stick to the plan, and monitor progress in real time.

The data not only shows incredible progress — it also highlights what needs attention next. Though the client is close to her healthy weight, the visualised data shows she’s struggling to maintain it. Without that insight, a future relapse might have been missed.

This case busts two big myths:
1️⃣ That people have to “live with” severe eating disorders.
2️⃣ That only senior clinicians can treat them effectively.

Our integration with Nookal and Cliniko just got a whole more integrated!

We've removed the need to have multiple browser tabs opened. Instead, with just the click of a button, users can toggle between patients' dashboards in Recovery Metrics and the corresponding electronic patient file in Nookal/Cliniko.

This is just one of the many features that we've released this month in our commitment to enhancing patient care whilst minimising the administrative burden to their practitioners.
