Health is like a jigsaw puzzle. Many factors to take into consideration.
How much do you believe stress and worry exacerbate your aches, pains, and ailments? Perhaps even the root cause?
Bowen Therapy supports your body to switch to healing mode, rather than fight/flight mode. After a Bowen Therapy treatment, I feel more energised and in a more positive frame of mind.
EFT/ Tapping works well with Bowen therapy. If you want to take your healing to a deeper level, and improve the effectiveness of any other treatment you are having, processing and releasing emotional trauma with EFT will support your body to heal.
While Bowen therapy tells the body the emergency is over and helps to release stress from the body, sometimes we need to get specific with an issue or behaviour that you want to eliminate from your life. EFT helps your mind and body to release negative thoughts, patterns and blocks. This allows you to feel more peaceful and empowered, moving toward your goals instead of the proverbial hamster wheel.
Nutrition and filtered water also pay an important role.
Remember to have fun and schedule in time to do something for you. Even if it’s just a walk in nature.

This is based on the Qigong balancing plates exercise.
Repeat 6 times left and right, you can also reverse the direction. Great to stretch out shoulders, back and waist.🙂

These are some of the fascial lines/trains that run through your body providing structure and support. Interestingly they correspond with meridian lines that are used in acupuncture. The correlation of Bowen moves and acupuncture points are extremely high. Stimulation of these points can support the body by enhancing blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, promoting tissue healing and reducing inflammation. Modern research suggests that acupuncture may influence the release of neurotransmitters such as endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine. These substances play a role in pain perception, mood regulation, and other physiological processes. In addition, Bowen therapy releases tension in this connective tissue allowing rehydration, alleviating musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. Bowen therapy represents an enormous opportunity to restore function and to facilitate health:)

Thanks to Supporting Balance and the Root Cause Protocol (RCP), I have been using the amazing Adrenal Cocktail. This health hack has become my go-to for boosting energy, nurturing my adrenals, and restoring electrolyte balance.
If you have worked yourself too hard during exercise, or enjoyed a bit too much the night before, this concoction will come in handy.
The combination of wholefood vitamin C, potassium, and salt provides the fundamental building blocks our bodies crave for optimal functioning.

Just got back from a fantastic road trip to the Hunter Valley, NSW, where I had the pleasure of attending a very valuable Bowen Therapy course. Delved deep into the methodologies inspired by Tom Bowen, gaining invaluable insights on body assessment and treatment prioritisation. Excited to apply these newfound skills!
Headed back to Brisbane via the scenic New England Highway, where I had the delightful opportunity to stay at a friend's farm. Interestingly, we first crossed paths during my inaugural Bowen module back in 2009!

“This philosophy has chosen the fascia as a foundation on which we stand … By its action we live and by its failure we die … The soul of man with all the streams of pure living water seems to dwell in the fascia of his body.”
- Dr. A. T. Still (founder of Osteopathy)

Watch this video of an Ultrasound unit that recorded the effect of a Bowen move on the fascia. Taken at the Fascia research facility at the ULM University in Germany. The Bowen move in slow motion is at 1.59mins.
Fascia is the stringy white stuff between the muscle and the fat you would have seen whilst cutting up meat. Another way it has been described is as a liquid crystalline matrix….
Fascia is made primarily from bundles of collagen fibres, that wraps every structure in the body, including muscle, bone, nerve, artery, vein, organs, heart, lungs, brain, and spinal cord.

Thanks to Col Murray from the International School of Bowen Therapy for the video.

This video aims to create greater interest in Bowen Therapy`s role in maintaining healthy fascia.

During sleep, the body engages in a myriad of essential functions, including tissue repair, muscle growth, immune system strengthening, and the release of growth hormones.

Deep and restful sleep is crucial for these processes to occur optimally.

When sleep is disrupted or inadequate, it can impede the body's ability to repair and regenerate, leading to compromised physical and mental well-being.

Bowen Therapy may improve sleep by releasing muscular tension, balancing the nervous system, and promoting relaxation, all of which may contribute to deeper and more restorative rest.
