✨ An Introduction to Strength ✨

Monday 10 Feb 2025. BPM - Strength (6 week course)

Where you’ll learn functional movements you would normally see in the gym, on the Mat in the Pilates studio.

Learn how to hinge, squat and press while gaining the confidence to move your body intuitively. Whether you’ve never been in a gym, wanting to learn how to move with resistance and weights or build strength outside of Pilates classes. Then this is definitely for YOU!

There are many ways an EP can assist women in forming healthy lifestyles. Exercise is a tool we use to overcome any limitations you have that are preventing you from being active. Our aim is to help build your toolbox to continue your journey with the knowledge of how to stay active for better quality of life and longevity.

While making New Years resolutions consider this ⬇️

Why is this goal important to me?
Who is this goal for, am I pleasing myself or someone else?

Are the intentions a positive driving force?
Is the place this goal originates from one of good intentions or is it reframing old habits.

Did the word ‘more’ of something come up? Maybe focus on quality not quantity. More isn’t always best and will lead to burnout.

Can I realistically achieve this?
Is this goal within your reach, you know what you are capable of and when you are reaching too far.

How can I track my progress?
Try making manageable steps to achieve along the journey.

Am I capable of achieving it alone?
Is this something you have done before, or do you need professional help this time?

Then,
Write it down on paper,
Review it across the year,
Track your progress and
Adjust when needed.

Have a happy and healthy 2022 🤍

How to find exercise that’s the right fit for YOU

The biggest reason people do not sustain physical activity through a program or sport is out of lack of enjoyment. Choosing an activity that you purely enjoy is what will keep you showing up each week.

Ask yourself these questions:
• Do I prefer to be indoors or outdoors?
• Do I feel happy when I am in this environment?
• Does my mood improve once I finish this activity?
• Does this exercise align with the goals I want to achieve?
• Do I like exercise to be me time or social?
• Does being part of a team or performing interest me?
• Are my goals specific and is my exercise tailored to meeting them?
• Is there something preventing me from completing the activity? If so, do I know where to find help to overcome this obstacle?

There is a lot of research on the benefits of exercise on our health, physically and mentally. But we will only receive benefit if we are consistently partaking in physical activity. Therefore, choose something that you want to continue doing, where you can feel or see the results, or socialise with like minded people. As this will be the reason that keeps you enjoying an active lifestyle 🔅
