Jennifer Gifford Coach Midlife coach supporting women 40–55 to steady their minds and feel like themselves again. My work isn’t about fixing, reinventing, or pushing through.

I work with women in midlife who feel capable but quietly depleted — mentally, emotionally, and energetically. It’s about steadiness, perspective, and helping women recalibrate so they can meet this season of life with clarity and self-trust. I’m currently building The Walled Garden — a considered space for reflection, support, and grounded growth. The gate opens in 2026. Until then, this page is a place to pause, listen, and orient — without pressure or urgency.

Most midlife women don't need more healing.
They need containment.

The midlife industry has a reflex. If you're overwhelmed — process it. If you're reactive — unpack it. If you're questioning your life — explore it.

More story. More insight. More "work."

But here's what I've learned — the hard way.

When I hit my own midlife rupture, I didn't need another framework. I needed to stop making decisions from a dysregulated nervous system.

I was competent. Successful. Responsible.
And completely unanchored.

What looked like an identity crisis was actually a capacity collapse.

The women I work with now are the same. They are not fragile. They are overextended, over-responsible, and overexposed to input.

They don't need to dig deeper.
They need to stabilise.

Because urgency is not clarity.
Emotion is not instruction.
And burning your life down is not the same as rebuilding it.

Midlife is not a crisis of identity.
It's a crisis of capacity.

Capacity returns when the nervous system is contained.

Stability first.
Story later.

If that sentence makes your shoulders drop, you'll understand my work.

Migraines are a big problem for many people. These severe, nearly disabling headaches can occur anywhere from once a year to three to four times a week. They can last from hours to days. They are often associated with an aura, light sensitivity, nausea, vomiting, and severe throbbing pain on one or both sides of the head.

And migraines can be caused by many different factors. This is where Functional Medicine comes in. Functional Medicine is medicine by cause; not by symptom. It helps us discover the underlying triggers of disease.

And the root cause of your migraine may not be in your head at all. In fact, migraines can be caused by things ranging from food sensitivities and allergies to hormonal imbalances, vitamin deficiencies, and more.

Keep in mind that sometimes a combination of treatments is necessary.

Midlife hit me like a quiet storm.

Some days I felt like a stranger in my own life. Other days, I found a strength I never knew I had.

If you’re somewhere between lost and becoming, you’re not alone. I’m building a space for us to land, without pretending, without pressure.

Curious? Let me know if you would like to hear more about The Walled Garden. 🌱

What if midlife was your turning point?

Most of us feel pulled in a hundred directions. Yet, there’s a quiet strength in pausing and asking, “Who am I becoming?”

This month’s reflection: What’s one thing you want to reclaim for yourself in 2026?

What happens when your old map stops working?

I hit that wall in my own midlife shift. The rules changed, my body changed, and suddenly, I didn’t recognise myself or my needs.

If you’re standing at that threshold too, you’re not alone. Want to hear how I found my way forward? Drop a comment or DM me. 🌱

Curious, but caught in uncertainty.

You don’t need clarity.
You need orientation.

I wrote a short Mud Map essay on Substack for the woman standing at the threshold. 🌿

A Mud Map, Not a Blueprint How to trust yourself when everything feels unfamiliar (including you). If you're waiting for certainty before you move, you might be waiting forever. There's a particular kind of fear that shows up at a threshold. Not the sharp, immediate kind (the kind with teeth) but th...

This page isn’t here to rush you toward answers.

Midlife has a way of asking more questions before it offers clarity, and most women are expected to solve everything quickly, quietly, and alone.

I’m building The Walled Garden as a steady space for women in midlife who want time to orient, reflect, and recalibrate before deciding what comes next.

Not a quick fix.
Not a reinvention.
Not another role to perform well.

I’m taking my time with this on purpose.
The gate opens in 2026.

Until then, this page exists as a place to pause, gather perspective, and remember that nothing is wrong with you; you’re simply in a season that asks more care.

If midlife feels louder, heavier, or harder to orient than it used to.
You’re not imagining it.

Many capable women reach this season and quietly wonder,
“Why does everything take more out of me than it used to?”

This space is for women who don’t need fixing.
They need steadiness, perspective, and room to recalibrate.

I’m Jennifer. I work with women navigating midlife who want to feel like themselves again, without drama, pressure, or rushing.

You’re welcome to stay, listen, and take what you need.

What is so unique about what I do?

Hi I’m Jennifer but you can call me Jen!

I think I have the best job in the world; creating beautiful feminine and unique bridal gowns for some pretty awesome girls. I love what I do and I think it shows in the gowns I create and also in the relationships I build with my Brides and their families.

My designs are very classic and inspired by the elegant silhouettes of the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s. I am very discerning about the fabrics I choose so you are unlikely to find other Bridal companies using the same ones in their designs. This makes my designs unique, a beautiful mix between classic elegance and modern minimalism.

All of my current designs are available Made to Order in standard sizes on my website. Or if you are local to Brisbane or can travel to Brisbane you can meet with me to discus having your chosen JGD gown Made to Measure, which includes several fittings so your gown will feel like a second skin on your big day.
