A 2-dose course of Shingrix® will be available for free for:

- people aged 65 years and older
- First Nations people aged 50 years and older
- immunocompromised people aged 18 years and older with the following medical
conditions:
- haemopoietic stem cell transplant
- solid organ transplant
- haematological malignancy
- advanced or untreated HIV.

Unlike Zostavax®, Shingrix® does not contain any live virus so it can be given to people aged 18 years and over who are immunocompromised.

From 1st of July 2023, our business hours will be:
Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm
Saturday and Sunday - 9am to 12:30pm

With several new doctors having recently joined us, we are able to provide more appointments for our community along with more availability for walk in appointments as well. Please note that all weekend appointments will be privately billed with on-site Medicare rebates available.

Welcome Dr. Sabrina Lee!💙
Dr Sabrina obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from UQ and gained fellowship with the RACGP in 2022. She has worked at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in several disciplines, and has special interest in women's and children's health, along with chronic disease management, lifestyle change and health education.

Dr Alex obtained his MBBS at the University of Queensland in 2017. He has since enjoyed gaining knowledge and experience in various fields during his time working at Brisbane, Ipswich, and Gold Coast Hospitals. Outside of work, Alex enjoys running, hiking, cooking, and reading.

Welcome Dr. Vasugi Vijayaratna! 💙

Dr Vasugi obtained her BM at the University of South Hampton in the UK. She worked in Brisbane from 2011 to 2014 before returning to work in London. After spending 2022 in Tasmania, Dr Vasugi has settled back in Brisbane. Outside of work, Vasugi enjoys reading, cooking, and jogging, and is even learning how play tennis!

Welcome Dr. Pennie Gu! 💙

Dr Pennie will be starting here at Moggill Road Family Practice from 25th of January. We are very excited to have her on our team. 😊

She obtained her MD at the University of Queensland in 2019. Dr Pennie has worked at the Logan Hospital and Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, where she gained experience in a number of fields before transitioning to working in general practice. Outside of work, Pennie enjoys cooking, travelling, and sewing.

Vapes are clouded in misconception ☁️. They contain many of the same toxic and cancer-causing chemicals found in regular ci******es.

One of these ingredients is diacetyl, used in popcorn flavourings for its buttery taste.

When eaten, diacetyl is usually harmless. But, when inhaled in large amounts, can lead to 'Popcorn Lung' or bronchiolitis obliterans. 🍿🫁

Bronchiolitis obliterans is a rare condition that causes inflammation in the airways, leading to scarring and permanent damage. This can make it hard to breathe, and once occurs, can't be fixed. 😮‍💨

The sooner you put the v**e down, the quicker your body can rebound and repair itself. Don't get sucked in – it's not worth it.
