✨️ Fifteen-months-ago, University of Southern Queensland academic Ellen decided to find out if Genesis Health + Fitness Windsor’s Reformer Pilates machines were worth the hype.
Having initially trained every day (she’s since cut it down to an average of five days a week), the 46-year-old mother-of-three is absolutely convinced about how the workouts build core strength, control, flexibility, and balance.
“I do a lot of research in aged care, and I’d known about the research conducted into Reformer Pilates and I wanted to experience any benefits first-hand,” Ellen says.
“I can say that undertaking a reformer Pilates program - especially with the guidance of trained instructors – has been a smart move” (Unlike Mat Pilates (which you can do on the floor with minimal equipment), Reformer Pilates uses a machine with springs, straps, and a sliding platform which allows you to adjust resistance and perform smooth, controlled movements targeting different muscle groups).
Ellen says Reformer Pilates has helped play a critical role in her fitness journey, which has seen her shed 20 kilograms.
“It just never gets boring,” Ellen says. “I can’t go a few days without doing Reformer Pilates – I really look forward to going to Genesis Health + Fitness Windsor, which is such a friendly environment and provides me with all the flexibility I need when it comes to my training requirements.”
Ellen, who describes being named our dedicated member for March as a “nice surprise”, receives one month’s free membership and a $50 supplement voucher, thanks to .supplementmart.
Congratulations Ellen! 🙌
