Dr Anthony Fong's talk on true optic nerve swelling vs pseudoswelling had everyone hooked — and judging by the heaps of requests afterwards, it’s a topic people want more of!

Through this partnership, our patients can feel proud knowing that when they receive their cataract surgery with Vision for Life Institute they’re also helping restore sight for someone else around the world. That’s impact that truly comes full circle.

🤝 The Fred Hollows Foundation and Vision for Life Institute(VFLI) are excited to announce a partnership aimed at restoring sight for people who would otherwise remain needlessly blind or vision impaired. This collaboration will restore sight across more than 25 countries.

As part of the “Eye for an Eye” initiative, Vision for Life Institute will donate $100 AUD to The Foundation for every cataract surgery the Institute conducts over the next three years. This contribution will support sight saving programs across Africa, Asia, and the Pacific helping to deliver life-changing surgeries, treatments, and training that strengthens local health systems for the long term.
