I'll probably offend some people with this post but it needs to be said.

This world lost its way when it lost its connection to the feminine.

I think said it well in her segment on SBS Insight's 'Spiritual Divide' ~ "the world is led by men who are fighting over who daddy [aka their God] loves the most."

And we're collateral damage.

Before we entered the dark ages (around the Roman era) this world held great reverence for the feminine. Cultures around the world had a deep, unwavering connection to the Earth Mother. They recognised the sacred in all things and their connection to the divine was sovereign.

When Judeo-Christian religions took prominence - especially as they became severed from their pure origins - religion became a business whose main intent was control and manipulation. The powers at be made themselves a middleman between the people and the divine, stripping away their sovereignty, exiling the feminine and promoting salvation in exchange for submission.

Fast forward to today and these absurd ideologies have caused wars, famine and genocides ~ perpetuating an us vs them narrative that causes division in our world.

We have to realise we took a wrong turn. We have to go back and remember what ancient peoples never forgot ~ our connection to the Mother; to the feminine.

That is the way forward to a New Earth. That is the only way forward. Men need to meet themselves; they need to find meaning and purpose in rites of passage and community, not in destructive, separative ideologies and actions.

It is time for a revolution and that revolution is going to start from within.

I lay on the mat of the studio in Ubud, Bali, about to commence my descent into the deeper realms of consciousness through simple breath with . I was anxious. My palms were sweaty. My heart beating faster than it usually would.

What was I so afraid of? Fear seemed to come and go like rain clouds these past months. The thing was, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was afraid of. The fear didn’t seem mine. It came from…somewhere else.

The drums began to beat. I could see darkness behind my blindfold. Within a minute, I was travelling—somewhere beyond space and time, somewhere everything and nothing meet. The space between the night and the day, the dark and the light.

My body convulsed. I swayed from side to side, energy pulsating through my fingertips. Where was I going? I wondered. What was it that I was here to learn and understand?

The energy arose through my body, transforming into emotion. Soon, I erupted. I cried like someone had taken away the most precious thing in my life. I howled the cries of pain that lived deep inside my DNA. It was the pain of loss. The pain of fear. The pain of sorrow. The bombs falling. The houses burning. The pillagers taking.

“We’re with you,” I heard voices from within. I was not alone. Somewhere amidst this deep anguish, I felt safety. Release. Surrender.

When the drumming stopped, and I came back to the room, we were asked to draw about our experience. I drew the island, my island home. The Mediterranean Sea, the clear blue endless sky.

My Maltese ancestors lived through so much ~ war, famine, invasion after invasion. And I was here to say, “we are safe now. Let the fear end here. You are safe now.”

When you choose to be the one who breaks the cycle, you are healing lifetimes. Never forget that. 💖
