We’re piloting a small-group class series at Pelviology, starting 9 February — created to help you move in ways that actually make sense for your body.

These aren’t generic exercise classes. They’re small, physio-led groups designed to build confidence, not pressure.

What makes them different:
✔ Small groups (max 6), so you’re seen and supported
✔ Led by pelvic health physiotherapists
✔ Designed to work with your individual care, not replace it

How we support you:
Before joining a class, you’ll meet with a Pelviology physio to talk through your body, your goals, and what you’re navigating right now. That session also starts your individual treatment plan, so your care is personalised from the beginning.

From there, we’ll help you choose what fits best — a group class, one-to-one support, or a mix of both.

Because the goal isn’t just to attend a class.
It’s to feel supported, capable, and confident in your body.

New year.
Same body.
Better information.

Your pelvic floor supports you every day —
bladder, bowel, movement, intimacy, confidence.
Yet most people are never taught how it works
or that help exists early.

At Pelviology, we’re a pelvic health clinic focused on clarity, choice, and care that meets you where you are —
evidence-informed, inclusive, and human.

What matters to know:
✨ Pelvic floor therapy with a physiotherapist is a first-line treatment for many pelvic floor conditions.
✨ Pelvic health concerns affect all genders and all ages — athletes, teens, men, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, older adults.
✨ Treatment is individualised — your goals, your body, your pace.
✨ Examination options are varied and always discussed — internal exams are not mandatory.
✨ You don’t need a referral — self-referral is welcome at our pelvic health clinic.

If pelvic floor therapy has ever crossed your mind…
that’s your cue to learn more.

As the year gently winds down, we’re taking a moment to pause, breathe, and reflect. 🎄

2025 has been full of stories, connection, progress, setbacks, laughter, and small wins that mattered deeply. We are genuinely grateful for every person who trusted us with their care and allowed us to walk alongside them. Supporting your health is never something we take lightly, and it remains a privilege every single day.

Our clinic will be closed over the Christmas and New Year period so our team can rest, restore, and return with full cups and clear minds. Care works best that way. Tell us what you plan to do for your own care this holidays?? 🤔🥰

We are closed between 24-28th December and 1st-4th January.

If something urgent arises while we’re closed, you can email us at info@pelviology.com.au or leave a voicemail on (07) 3187 8187, and we’ll respond as soon as possible once we’re back.

Wishing you a season of rest, connection, and kindness to your body and mind. Thank you for being part of our year. 💚

💚 Welcome, Chloe!

Chloe joins the Pelviology team with calm confidence and a passion for helping people move, recover, and thrive.

She brings a strong foundation in pelvic pain, postpartum recovery, and functional movement retraining — blending evidence-based care with genuine warmth and connection.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find her on the reformer, enjoying coffee, or recharging outdoors — balance she also helps her patients rediscover.

💪 Pelvic Health in Performance: The Hidden Link

Behind every stride, jump, and lift lies a system often overlooked — the pelvic floor.
It stabilises load, transfers force, and responds to hormonal, physical, and psychological stress.
When that system falters, it doesn’t just cause leakage or heaviness — it alters how athletes move, recover, and perform.

📊 Research shows:
• Up to 50% of elite female athletes experience pelvic floor symptoms — yet most never report them (Mahoney 2023; Dakic 2023; Carvalhais 2018).
• ACL injuries occur up to 4× more often in women, with complex hormonal and neuromuscular links (Bruder 2022; Napolitano 2024).
• Post-partum athletes can match or exceed pre-pregnancy performance when supported holistically (Donnelly 2021; Nordstrom 2025).

Pelvic health physiotherapy bridges this gap — connecting breath, core, and movement to performance outcomes.

💚 Enable. Empower. Evolve.
– Enable open conversations and early screening.
– Empower athletes with knowledge and strategies.
– Evolve systems that view pelvic health as performance health.

👉 Save this post if you’re building strong foundations in women’s sport — and share it to help normalise the conversation.

Birth can be unpredictable — your support shouldn’t be. 🔥

Even a fire alarm couldn’t stop Marley and Haley at the Midwifery Event, sharing how physiotherapy supports women through pregnancy, birth and recovery.

💚 Top 3 Physio Tips for Pregnancy Support:
1️⃣ Strengthen & Soften – Train pelvic floor muscles for both endurance and relaxation.
2️⃣ Breathe & Move – Gentle, guided exercise keeps circulation flowing and reduces pelvic pain. Exercise is now essential!!
3️⃣ Prepare, Don’t Predict – Every birth is different, but physio helps your body adapt and recover.

Because just like birth, things don’t always go to plan — but evidence-based support helps you stay calm, confident, and cared for every step of the way.
