Dark chocolate, orange and ginger spiced hot cross buns 🄹
These have been so fun to make, so much so I’ve made them 5 times (that’s 60 buns FYI) for family, friends and neighbours šŸ˜‚šŸ«”
They are so light and fluffy, a lot easier than you think (promise) and really wholesome ingredients! Alsooo, if you want plain or just fruit, you can very easily omit the dark chocolate for sultanas or nothing!

Let me know if you make them!! (I’ll come over hehehe)

Some exciting news— šŸŽ‰šŸ„¹
It makes me veeeery happy to announce I’ve joined the team as their Clinical Nutritionist to support SO many beautiful women with their health!
These programs have been written with so much expertise, love and genuine care for the female body, especially postpartum.
From my own experience, transforming your health is such an intricate and personal thing, so being able to nurture other women and support them whilst they prioritise a little bit of time for themselves again just feels incredibly special.
I feel so lucky to be able to contribute, write, cook and support alongside the team!
As for this page— nothing changes here! I’m still cooking, creating and writing for myself and other brands. Feels all a bit like a dream! I’m sleeping reeeeally well at the moment hahaha 🩷

Hellloooo Autumn and hellloooo spiced apple pancakes (and HELLO cover of the new magazine… hehehe) šŸŽšŸ„žšŸ„¹ā€ØThis recipe was really fun to create because it allowed me to take a very conventional, well-loved breakfast and add a health element that not only elevated the flavour but the nutritional composition.
Stewed apples are a great accompaniment to breakfast, not only because they are warming but because they are gentle on the digestion and actually provide wonderful benefits to your gastrointestinal system.
Cooking apples breaks down the cell walls, making them softer and thus easier to digest, as well as breaks down the starches and sugars, resulting in a slower release of glucose in the bloodstream.
Compared to raw apples, stewed are lower in acidity, which makes them less irritating on the stomach lining.
Additionally, the soluble fibre in apples acts as a prebiotic, which acts as a food source for your beneficial gut bacteria, as well as providing flavonoids, polyphenols and other antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, leading to a reduction of inflammation in the digestive tract.
I hope you love this one as much as I do!

For anyone who hasn’t done their Christmas shopping yet šŸ˜‰
Just joking hahaha (kind of).
Here are a few of my favourite ways to support the body nutritionally during times of higher stress. I hope you spend the rest of the year taking care of yourself, resting, eating, laughing and simply enjoying.

Christmas can be a very overwhelming time if you struggle with your relationship with food and eating.
I’ve tried my best to compile a list of gentle yet supportive ways to navigate the season (without writing a 1000 word essay for each… it was hard) so I hope you find some or all helpful ā¤ļø

Got your weekend baking sorted with this chocolate hazelnut protein slice šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø
Sliced into 8, this gives you 13g of protein per piece, or 10g if you cut into 10! Thank me later šŸ˜‰

As the festive season approaches, I wanted to send out the annual reminder to hold space for gentleness and compassion— for yourself and your relationship with food.
This time of year can be filled with a lot of happiness, but for some, can also be shadowed by pressure, worry, anxiety and expectations, particularly around socialising, food and body image.
I hope this season you choose to honour your body, rest with kindness and nourish not just with food, but with self-love. šŸ’›

SPRING TIME, BABY! 🌼
I’ve created a very general list of seasonal foods for you to save for your next grocery or market trip.
Perks of buying and cooking with seasonal produce is typically that it is readily available (win), cheaper (even bigger win) and is oftentimes more nutrient-dense and flavourful (jackpot!!!).
It’s also a great opportunity to step away from your go-to fruit and veg choices that we so typically do and try something that you haven’t before! šŸ’›

One-pan dinners šŸ«¶šŸ¼
This lamb and Mediterranean vegetables has got to be a favourite go-to, easy dinner of mine and you can swap the lamb for chicken, salmon or even a marinated form tofu to mix it up a little! It’s also a great one to empty the fridge out before a grocery shop.
The beeest mid-week dinner— unless you’re having pasta… then it might be pasta šŸ˜

I’m a real stickler for a good ol’ fashioned sandwich šŸ˜
The fresh bread, the variety of flavours… what’s not to love!
Annnnd from a nutritional standpoint, veggie-packed sandwiches/wraps/rolls are one of the easiest macro-nutrient balanced lunches.
You’ve got your carbohydrates from the bread and some from your veggies, protein from meats/eggs/chickpeas/tofu/tempeh and a fat source from good-quality butter/avocado/cheese/good-quality mayo etc.
I’d recommend deciding on your 3 macronutrients (carbohydrate, fat and protein) and build your flavour combination from there!
You can find the recipe for my veggie-packed roll over at šŸ’›
