Dry Needling vs Acupuncture: What's the Difference?
Both use fine needles, but the approach and purpose are very different. π
β¨ Dry Needling:
A technique used by physios, myotherapists, and chiros to release tight muscles (trigger points). It targets specific spots to relieve tension, improve mobility, and ease pain.
β¨ Acupuncture:
A holistic practice from Traditional Chinese Medicine. It regulates the nervous system, reduce inflammation, and support overall health β from digestion to stress to sleep.
π In short:
β’ Dry needling = muscle-focused
β’ Acupuncture = systemic focus
At East Brunswick Acupuncture, I offer acupuncture and collaborate with myotherapists and phisiotherapists for the best care possible. π
