Knee pain can be stubborn — especially when it keeps coming back.
If your knee settles with rest but flares as soon as you return to walking, running, or training, the issue is often deeper than inflammation alone. Many knee problems, particularly tendon-related pain, struggle to heal with rest by itself.

Shockwave therapy works by stimulating the body’s natural healing response in stubborn tissues. It increases blood flow, encourages tissue repair, and helps reset pain sensitivity. But it’s most effective when paired with a clear strength and loading plan that rebuilds the knee’s ability to tolerate movement.

That combination is what helps turn “manageable pain” into genuine progress — not just short-term relief.

If knee pain has been limiting your movement or holding back your training, don’t keep guessing.

You rest. It settles.
You run again… and the pain returns.

For a lot of runners, this happens with Achilles, calf, or tendon pain. Not because you’ve done something wrong, but because tendons don’t respond well to rest alone. They usually need the right amount of load at the right time to adapt and recover.

When pain keeps returning, it’s often a sign the tissue hasn’t rebuilt enough capacity to handle running demands yet. That’s where a structured approach makes the difference — one that looks at how you load, how you move, and how strength is progressed back into your training.

Addressing the cause helps break the stop-start cycle and builds confidence to run again without second-guessing every step.

If running pain has been lingering or repeatedly flaring, it may be time to take a closer look.

Longer runs slow down. Soreness lingers. That “ni**le” you managed through the year suddenly feels harder to ignore once the schedule eases.

For many runners, the break exposes an issue that hasn’t fully healed — not because you didn’t rest enough, but because rest alone doesn’t rebuild injured tissue.

Shockwave therapy helps stimulate tendon healing and reduce persistent pain. But lasting change comes when it’s paired with the right strength work, progressing load safely back into the tissue. That combination is what allows runners to return stronger, not just pain-free for a short time.

This year can be a smart window to address the cause properly — with time to assess, treat, and rebuild before training ramps up again.

If running pain has followed you into the break, now’s a good time to reset it the right way.

Back pain needs more than symptom relief
Persistent back pain isn’t always about a single tight muscle or sore spot.

It often involves how the spine, muscles, joints, and nervous system are working together.
That’s why our approach starts with a thorough assessment — not just where it hurts, but why it keeps returning.

Our multi-disciplinary spine care focuses on:
• Understanding movement patterns and load tolerance
• Identifying contributing joints, muscles, and tissues
• Clarifying what’s driving pain versus what’s compensating
• Building a treatment plan that supports long-term relief

This allows care to be targeted, progressive, and relevant to your daily life — not short-term fixes.

👉 Book an assessment to get clarity on what’s really behind your back pain. https://premiersportsmedicine.com.au/book-online/

Start the year without carrying pain into the new one
Back pain often builds quietly — then shows up when you finally slow down.
Quick fixes might help temporarily, but lasting change comes from understanding why the pain keeps returning.

Our osteos and physios assess how your body moves, loads, and compensates — so treatment is targeted, not guesswork.

Start addressing the cause now, so you’re not starting January in pain.

Posture that doesn’t rely on “trying harder”

Good posture isn’t about holding yourself stiff or forcing your shoulders back.
It comes from stability, control, and strength through the right muscles.
In clinician-led Clinical Pilates, posture is trained through:
• Core and pelvic stability
• Controlled movement patterns
• Awareness of alignment under load
• Strength where your body actually needs it

This approach supports safer movement, better balance, and confidence in everyday activities — not just in the studio.

If posture fatigue, discomfort, or instability has been holding you back, Clinical Pilates can help build support where it matters most.
