Hello everybody- as many of you know, I'm busy in my role in Public Health at the moment and as such have needed to temporarily suspend my Celebrant services, but hope to be back soon. It's such a crazy time we find ourselves in, but we are finding ways to adapt to everything, including funerals, with the article below giving an interesting overview on changes that are occurring. In the words of Adrian Barrett, Vice-President of the Australian Funeral Director's Association (quoted below) "Amid the sadness and frustration, there is also understanding, creativity and innovation".
Stay safe everyone - and I hope the next year is kind to you all.

As Covid-19 makes it impossible for funeral crowds to gather and for hugs to be exchanged, the bereaved must say farewell in new and unsettling ways

With 2019 now at a close, and a new decade begun, I have a simple wish for you all. I wish you 'Time'...time to heal, time to reflect on the beauty of small things, time to remember those you have loved, time to love those who are special in your lives right now. This year has been so incredibly hard on some of my dear friends and family but there has also been great courage and strength that has been borne through such adversity, as I know there will continue to be. To the families who have given me the honour of helping them through your time of crisis and despair, you yourselves have been inspirational. And I thank you for that gift and insight. May 2020 be filled with many blessings for us all🙏🙏🙏
