🌟 Celebrating Collaboration in Care 🌟

Last month’s Brisbane Care Expo was a fantastic opportunity for our team — led by Aaron, Simon, and the crew — to connect with OTs, Allied Health Professionals, and clients from across South QLD.

A special mention to Alison Cowan, Principal OT at Age to Independence, who works closely with our Client Relations Manager Amber White. With over 20 years’ experience in community geriatrics, Alison is passionate about falls prevention, home modifications, and equipment prescription across aged care, DVA, and palliative care.

We’re proud to support Alison’s community education sessions for veterans and war widows and to partner with her through our Morayfield store — a reflection of the strong, trusted relationships we build with therapists who share our commitment to quality care.

💛 Together, we’re making a real difference.

This National Carers Week (12–18 October 2025), we honour and support the more than 3 million unpaid carers across Australia.

At Country Care Group, we see you — the everyday heroes who give care, compassion, time and strength to loved ones. You carry tremendous responsibility, often quietly, and often without recognition.

This week, let’s:

👂 Listen to carers’ stories
💬 Raise awareness of the challenges they face
💛 Offer practical support — even small gestures matter
🧘 Encourage self-care and rest

Because whether you are a carer now, know someone who is, or may become one — caring is a role that touches many lives.

🌟 Country Care at the Brisbane Care Expo — What a Day! 🌟

Last month, the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre came alive for the Brisbane Care Expo, and what a fantastic event it was!

We were proud to have a strong Country Care Group presence — connecting with occupational therapists, allied health professionals, and clients from across Queensland. The conversations, insights, and shared experiences truly highlighted the passion and collaboration within our care community.

✨ One of the biggest takeaways from the event was seeing how dedicated health professionals are to supporting older Australians to live safely, comfortably, and independently at home. From home modifications and mobility equipment to everyday care aids — it’s clear that knowledge, compassion, and innovation continue to drive better outcomes for clients and carers alike.

Events like the Brisbane Care Expo remind us just how powerful connection can be. Every discussion, demonstration, and shared idea helps strengthen the partnerships that make real care possible.

❤️ To everyone who stopped by our stand — thank you. Your support and collaboration inspire us every day.

👣 We’re Taking on 35km for a Bloody Good Cause

CCG have registered a team in The Bloody Long Walk to support Australians living with mitochondrial disease (mito).

Mito robs the body’s cells of energy, causing multiple organ dysfunction or failure—and it can affect anyone, at any age.

Every step on this Boody Long Walk is for those who face this exhausting battle every single day.

💚The team will finish tired and blistered, but they know that it’s nothing compared to the challenges of mito

That’s why Gina Kate and Ella of CCG are asking for all of our support.➡ If you are able, please consider sponsoring our team and help fund vital research into treatments and cures: https://event.bloodylongwalk.com.au/fundraisers/hogangirlsccg

Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you for being part of the journey! 🙏

🚀 Country Care at the First Healthcare Mobility Expo — What a Day!

Last month we proudly hosted our inaugural Country Care Healthcare Mobility Expo in our Lambton store – and what an amazing experience it was!
From the moment the doors opened, the energy was incredible.

Our space was filled with conversations, curiosity, and plenty of “aha” moments. We loved connecting with so many people — from long-time Country Care supporters to those discovering our solutions for the very first time.

Here’s what made the day so special:
✨ Hands-on demonstrations of our latest mobility & healthcare products
✨ Real chats about everyday challenges and how we can help
✨ Expert advice from our friendly, passionate team
✨ Fresh ideas for making daily care simpler, safer, and more comfortable
✨ Support from so many local providers and suppliers — including JP’s, travel
experts, home care providers, and more — all coming together to make the day
truly beneficial for our community

But most of all, it wasn’t just about equipment — it was about listening, connecting, and building relationships that continue beyond the expo floor.

❤️ A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared their stories, and supported the event. You helped make this first expo a success — and we can’t wait to do it all again. Here’s to supporting our communities, together.

💛 Your Natter Matters this R U OK? Day

Ageing brings many changes—health challenges, relocation, loss, or even difficulties with daily tasks. For some, these shifts can lead to isolation and feeling disconnected from family, friends, and community.

That’s why a simple conversation can mean so much. Taking the time to check in on a loved one, a neighbour, or even a client could make all the difference.

The signs someone might be struggling aren’t always obvious. It could be subtle changes in their mood, behaviour, or social habits. But by reaching out and asking “Are you OK?”, you can offer connection, support, and even hope.
At Country Care Group, we believe care is about more than products—it’s about people. Today, and every day, let’s make the time for conversations that matter.

👉 Visit ruok.org.au/seniors for tips and resources to help you start the conversation.

💙 Tasmania Equipment Services — Supporting Tasmanians with MND & Kennedy’s Disease

This year marks the beginning of something truly special in Tasmania: the official launch of the Tasmania Equipment Service — a free equipment loan library designed to support Tasmanians living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Kennedy’s Disease.

Born from the lived experience and vision of Terry Roles, alongside his wife Rosanne and his occupational therapist, this initiative is a heartfelt legacy of care and community.

Terry’s determination to make life safer, simpler, and more comfortable for others has created a lasting support system that will continue to empower Tasmanians for years to come.

Here’s why the service matters:

✨ Free loan of assistive technology for Tasmanians living with MND or Kennedy’s Disease
✨ Flexible support — equipment adapts as needs change
✨ No financial burden — borrow, don’t buy
✨ Safer, more comfortable living for individuals and families

This service is made possible thanks to the partnership between MND Tasmania, MND Victoria, and Country Care Group — working together to make everyday life easier, safer, and more dignified.

❤️ Terry’s legacy lives on in every piece of equipment provided, every moment made safer, and every family supported.
