We’re so excited to officially introduce Olivia to our community!

Olivia has been working with us for the past 3 months and has already received some amazing, positive feedback from participants and families. We’re so grateful to have her as part of the Be Seen team 💛

Here’s a little about Olivia in her own words:

Hi! I’ve been working in support work for a little over a year and a half, and I’m currently in my first year of studying Occupational Therapy. I’m really passionate about helping people feel supported, heard and comfortable being themselves.

If I’m not at work (or at a café ☕), you’ll probably find me on a spontaneous day trip to a waterfall, exploring new places, or reading at the beach & just trying to make the most of my days!

I also love being creative and anything art-related. I think it’s really beautiful when people can express their thoughts and feelings through creativity in any form.

I’m quite talkative (once I start, I don’t stop!), friendly and easy to get along with. I’m very bubbly and always happy to listen, whether that’s chatting about your favourite TV show or supporting you through more serious conversations.

I love making someone’s day a little better, whether that’s simply by listening or by supporting people to grow and believe in themselves.

We’re so proud to have Olivia supporting our participants here in the Bundaberg community 💫

🎉 We had a great meeting with Jen from Positive Behaviour Supports QLD! ✨

We loved getting the chance to sit down with Jen and learn more about the amazing work her team are doing in the behaviour support space here in Queensland.

Positive Behaviour Supports QLD take a person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach. Meaning they really take time to understand the person behind the behaviour and design supports that truly meet individual needs. They don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” they believe in respectful, tailored plans created with participants and their support networks. 

Jen has a strong background in special education and behaviour support, and the whole team focuses on working collaboratively with families, educators, support coordinators and support workers to build confidence, clarity and meaningful outcomes.

• Person-centred, evidence-informed positive behaviour support services. 
• Trauma-informed and respectful to individual needs.

We can’t believe it… it’s officially been ONE whole year since we started this journey and what an amazing year it has been!

From the very bottom of our hearts, thank you to every single person who has supported us along the way, our wonderful participants, our supportive local providers, our friends and family, and of course our absolutely amazing support workers. You are the reason we get to do what we love every day.

As students head back to school tomorrow, your attention behind the wheel can mean all the difference.

Our young Queenslanders will be excited, energetic, and sometimes unpredictable for their first day. When school zone speed limits are in effect, please remember to slow down, stay alert, and watch for children who may be crossing the road unexpectedly.

🚸 Observe school zone speed limits and be ready for sudden stops.
🚸 Avoid distractions, especially your phone.
🚸 Be patient around drop‑off and pick‑up areas, even if traffic is busy.
🚸Watch for crossing supervisors and always follow their directions.

Let’s ensure every child gets home safely to talk about their first day around the dinner table!
