We help men and women overcome their pains and the nuisance and stress that comes with it. Energise Therapy Clinic is a Physiotherapy service based in Burwood, Sydney's inner West, just off Parramatta road. We service clients from Burwood and the surrounding suburbs such as Concord, Strathfield, Ashfield, Five Dock and Croydon. We offer treatments such as acupuncture, remedial massage and evidence based physiotherapy care. Our physiotherapists, acupuncturists and massage therapists will take the time to provide you with the best care possible for problems such as neck pain, back pain, shoulder problems, headaches, tendon pain, overuse problems, work related injuries, sports and training injuries and much more.

If your ribs flare and your low back arches every time your arms go overhead, it might not be just a flexibility problem.

Most of the time, it's about awareness and control how well your ribcage and pelvis stay organised as your arms move.

When that control is missing, the body borrows movement from the low back to create the illusion of more range. That "extra range" might get the arms up, but it also means:

- The upper back and shoulders never really get exposed to the top positions
- More stress on the low back
- overhead movements that never really feel strong or comfortable

Learning to control rib flare and pelvic position gives your shoulders a real chance to move the way they're meant to (which is going to really help those with neck and upper trap pain too)

If your hip feels tight or pinchy, it’s probably not because you need to stretch your hip flexors more.

A lot of the time, the issue is missing hip internal rotation and glutes that aren’t controlling it. When that happens, your hips aren't able to fold smoothly - that’s when things start to feel jammed.

On top of this, your body then compensates and relies more on your low back.

This drill helps restore hip IR and teaches your glutes to actually do their job.
Better control. Better movement. Fewer pinchy feelings.
