Cancellation List Policy – Important Patient Information
Due to the ongoing high demand for appointments, our practice has reviewed and updated our cancellation list policy.
Why has the policy changed?
Over time, the cancellation list has been increasingly misused, which has made it difficult to fairly offer short-notice appointments to patients who genuinely need them. To ensure fairness and improve access for all patients, stricter guidelines are now in place.
What does this mean for patients?
• The updated cancellation list policy applies equally to all patients.
• This includes all patients, regardless of how long you have been attending the practice or seeing a particular doctor.
• Requests to be added to the cancellation list will be managed in line with the updated policy.
Our commitment to fairness:
We understand that appointment availability is important and can sometimes be urgent. These changes are intended to ensure the cancellation list is used appropriately and fairly for everyone.
If you have any questions about this policy, our reception team will be happy to assist. A more detailed description of the changes can also be found on our website: https://www.caboolture.unitedmedical.net.au/practicepolicies
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
