"I believe with all my soul that in this life we must learn to honor what we have received, no matter how small or subtle it may seem." Because gratitude is the most luminous form of the soul's memory. It costs nothing to say "thank you", and yet it encloses a universe of recognition, of love, of presence.
You have to be deeply grateful to whoever thought of you in the midst of the chaos of their day. With who, out of silence, sent you a message just when your world was shaking and you didn't know how to hold yourself. Appreciate that person who didn't run away from your sadness, who instead of judging her, tried to tear a smile from you to remind you that there was still light in you.
You have to be thankful for the unexpected hug that came like a balm when the soul was breaking into fragments. To the simple gesture — but immense — of the one who took you to that place where your memories feel at home, without asking for anything in return, just for the pleasure of seeing you well.
You have to deeply thank the one who, in the middle of his busy life, stopped time for a few minutes just to look at you, listen to you, hug you. To the one who held you in your tears without offering solutions, just their presence. To the one who didn't run away when you were broken, but stayed, without promises, just truth.
Because there are people who, unknowingly, repair you. That with a word, a glance or an everyday gesture, they return meaning to what seemed lost. And that — that — is a sacred gift.
A "thank you" is not just courtesy. It's recognition. That is: "I saw you, I felt you, and what you did left a mark on me." It's to sow love in the earth of man. Because a grateful heart does not only honor what it receives.. also multiplies the good it touches. "
