Ferntree Little Chef's

Ferntree Little Chef's Cairns only cooking school for Pre Primary & Primary aged children! The groups are small – no more than 12 children per group.

A typical class runs for one and half hours and children will learn facts about healthy foods & nutrition while preparing and enjoying practical hands-on cooking activities. The classes are designed to be educational and fun and each child will participate by measuring, mixing, peeling, and preparing recipes under the supervision of our trained chefs. Ferntree Little Chefs menus use fresh, local, seasonal produce and the recipes are attractive to all age groups. Classes run for 8 weeks of the school term, or on a casual basis, bookings are advised to secure a spot. This gives your child the opportunity to become confident with new friends while learning to work with others, as well as receiving one on one support from their chef. Each week your child will be provided a recipe card with what we will cook that day. All the recipes from the class can easily be prepared at home, giving your child the chance to show you what they’ve learnt in the kitchen and maybe cook for the whole family! We will then put all our term recipes into a cookbook, which can be purchased for an additional fee. All chef hats, aprons, food and equipment are supplied, and children’s special dietary requirements can be catered for. Children have the opportunity to take home what the food, which they have prepared.

Introductory Program Delivery Training provides teachers with everything they need to know about delivering kitchen and garden classes. We're holding training in:
- Cairns: 11 & 12 October
- Brisbane: 24 & 25 October
